February 6, 201610 yr hi guys im new to Unraid and to this forums i just got a unraid server + licenses and installed on my server with 8 drive plus one ssd for cache, everything went well and now is doing the first parity sync so far love it, nice interface and even for a first time user like me is very easy to get around it, anyway i have a quick question because i cant fiend it on any menu tab, is there a way to create a backup of my server configuration, like if for any reason my server fail or whatever happen i can easily restore my previous configuration and no have to redo all setup again, i dont mean backing up the data, just the config sorry about my english is no my first language thanks in advanced
February 6, 201610 yr Stop the array. Then simply copy the entire contents of the flash drive to a backup folder on one of your PC's. The flash drive will still be visible on your network even with the array stopped, so you can simply use Windows Explorer to copy it [from \\Tower\flash ]
February 6, 201610 yr Community Expert But never use a backup of the config/super.dat file that does not match your current disk assignments. If in doubt, delete config/super.dat before you use the backup.

Nope, stopping the array just takes it offline and unmounts the disks. You can still access the webui though.
February 9, 201610 yr Author sorry guys just one more question, when i backup the flash drive, this also backup my Registration Key for that usb flash drive? thanks in advanced
February 9, 201610 yr Yes, it does. If you ever need to restore your backup because you have a new USB flash drive, you'd need to request an updated license from Limetech.
