ashman70 Posted February 27, 2016 Share Posted February 27, 2016 I just saw a message on the console of my UnRaid server that says: Failed to watch /mnt/disk20; upper limit no inotify watches reached! Please increase the amount of inotify watches allowed per user via '/proc/sys/fs/inotify/max_user_watches' Couple of questions. Do I need to be concerned at all about this message? If so, what do I need to do about it? This message came up after I upgraded a 2TB to 3TB disk and parity is currently rebuilding. Oddly enough its not disk 20 that I replaced either. Link to comment

Squid Posted February 27, 2016 Share Posted February 27, 2016 It's probably from the file integrity plugin which uses inotify. You've run out of it's alotted watches and need to increase it. Link to comment
