Living Legend
I am attempting to create a Debian VM. I had success with Windows 10, but have been struggling here with Debian. I have an iso image downloaded directly from debian.org. debian-8.40-amd64.iso I used the basic VM template, but can't get past the part where it asks to locate an HDD Driver during the install process. If I am to change the template to advanced, I'm not sure what to select for disk type or disk bus. Also not sure if there's anything specific I need to do for the unRaid share/mount tag. bluepr0
Ummm what if you change the controller for the disk for something like legacy like IDE? Just an idea! Link to comment
f3dora
Try this: 1. Download this iso http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/8.4.0/amd64/iso-cd/debian-8.4.0-amd64-CD-1.iso 2. Check the MD5,SHA1,SHA256 or SHA512 hash (Please use a program like ShareX (Tools -> Hash) and not a web based app). 3. Create a new Debian VM. 4. Install Debian I did the same thing on the 6.2.0-beta21 and it worked without installing any drivers. Link to comment
