June 16, 20179 yr Every time I log into the server an error message is generated. I am logging in properly because I get access to unRAID. June 18, 20179 yr Author Still getting these errors in rc4: Jun 18 05:02:12 BackupServer nginx: 2017/06/18 05:02:12 [error] 8540#8540: *232 user "root": password mismatch, client: 192.168.1.135, server: , request: "GET / HTTP/1.1", host: "backupserver"
June 19, 20179 yr Are you saying the messages keep logging with every page request? The only time I see those messages is when changing the the root password via Users page, which is to be expected. Once the password is set and page refreshes, no more syslog messages. Tried on Chrome, FF, Edge.
June 19, 20179 yr It happens whenever unRaid throws up the alert for the login & password. (IE; Clearing browser cache will do it)

June 19, 20179 yr Author I'm using Chrome and it auto fills the login information. Each time I login, I get the password mismatch error.

I think it's happening because first the browser attempts to access the server without any authentication info. nginx sees that no username/password was entered so it replies to browser with "401" error. Browser responds by providing credentials. The message you are seeing is only a warning. You don't like the message?

June 20, 20179 yr You probably have a browser window opened somewhere else. Next release will quiet those messages.
