jeffreywhunter Posted June 20, 2017 Share Posted June 20, 2017 While rebuilding a server, FCP indicates that one of the disks has an HPA partition. Not sure how that partition got there, perhaps the disk had an OS on it at one point (shouldn't preclear have resolved that?!?). Regardless, what's the correct way to fix this? Pull the drive, reformat externally, then reinsert and let it rebuild? Better way? Thanks in advance! Link to comment
Squid Posted June 21, 2017 Share Posted June 21, 2017 If it's not on the parity disk, then don't worry about it. And, with most BIOS's so long as they see an HPA partition already existing, they won't try and create another one. Link to comment
