June 20, 20179 yr While rebuilding a server, FCP indicates that one of the disks has an HPA partition. Not sure how that partition got there, perhaps the disk had an OS on it at one point (shouldn't preclear have resolved that?!?). Regardless, what's the correct way to fix this? Pull the drive, reformat externally, then reinsert and let it rebuild? Better way? Thanks in advance! Edited June 21, 20179 yr by jeffreywhunter
June 21, 20179 yr If it's not on the parity disk, then don't worry about it. And, with most BIOS's so long as they see an HPA partition already existing, they won't try and create another one.
