July 14, 20178 yr After finally (thanks Squid) getting my array started after replacing my flash drive (the old one was apparently corrupted) I am having problems with the Docker. at first I attempted to re-enable the PLEX container (it was available via dropdown) but then it began the process as if I were are a first-time user. I then attempted to turn off Docker in the settings and re-start it. I dropdown to Yes and click Apply, but it is stopped and not restarting. Though it's slightly off-topic (I think, though in case it is not I submit it here), running Fix Common Problems apparently freezes as does the update/download of Apps. Thanks, as ever, for any help.
July 14, 20178 yr Post Diagnostics showing you trying to start docker. Odds on, your docker.img file is trashed or full and its throwing the system for a loop.
July 15, 20178 yr Author update: I deleted the docker.img file and recreating it seems not to be working: I still can't get Docker up and running.
July 15, 20178 yr Community Expert Your logs are full of missing csrf_token errors so quite a pain to go trough, but the docker service is disable and I didn't see any attempt to start it, can you reboot, try to start docker and grab new diags?
July 15, 20178 yr And yeah, I don't see any attempt to start docker, and as of the time of the diagnostics, docker was disabled (Settings - Docker)
July 16, 20178 yr Author rebooted, started array and attempted to turn on Docker. diag file attached. thank you. tower-diagnostics-20170716-1215.zip
July 16, 20178 yr Strange. There's zero evidence that docker is even attempting to start. And the docker cfg file still shows that it's disabled. Try editing config/docker.cfg on the flash drive, and change DOCKER_ENABLED="no" to be DOCKER_ENABLED="yes" followed by another reboot, start the array, wait a minute, then another diagnostics
July 17, 20178 yr Author ongoing (i never thought replacing a flash drive would have so many consequences )... So, I restored PLEX and after scanning my drives for about an hour, it came back with my existing library. However, two new movies I had added after my flash drive crash are not being recognized in the library (after forcing a library update, of course). Furthermore, I can't play ANY of my existing movies and tv shows, etc. because PLEX can't seem to find the files (files are "Unavailable" when I Get Info on a movie). my docker page looks like this (attached). I think there might be a conflict here with the file path of "plexmediaserver" (as I originally created it, apparently, and as I recreated the host path upon resurrecting Plex, thinking I would get back my library) and the default of PlexMediaServer. Perhaps there is something I can do to merge these two (screenshot attached)? tower-diagnostics-20170717-1240.zip
July 17, 20178 yr You don't have any media locations specified in your Plex docker config. EG /movies = /mnt/user/movies /music = /mnt/user/music
July 17, 20178 yr Author I can't seem to get to the page where I see volume mappings (for music, movies, etc.)? The settings seem a bit different than when I first installed PLEX. Should I be on this page (attached screenshot) and go to Add another Path....? thanks.
July 17, 20178 yr 7 minutes ago, smellthebean said: apparently my install fails... see attached you forgot the / on /tv
July 17, 20178 yr Author thanks. stupid on my part. at the end of the day, I'm in the PLEX gui and just deleting and re-adding folders. Server is scanning like mad right now. I know that re-adding docker apps shouldn't be this hard: obviously I screwed up badly somewhere. My files are named pretty cleanly, but I'm sure I'll have to add some artwork, etc.
July 17, 20178 yr Re-adding apps is usually painless, and a very very quick process. Without going through everyone of your posts, it looks like your flash was corrupted and you created a new one, or you reformatted the existing one. Either way, you didn't save the contents of /config (or more precise, /config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user) It's the files in there that will let the apps tab re-add everything without you ever having to remember how you had the templates configured in the first place. Basically, a download and you're back running like nothing ever happened.
