You shouldn't. Both drives should be the same size, baring anything like an HPA infection.

    I know my new Seagate drive is the same size as my Hitachi drive. It is more an issue that I trust Seagate more, and that the RMA center is much closer. I have two of the Hitachi drives, and have RMAed them both within 8 months. I would like to ditch the Hitachi drive and stick to Seagates and WDs if I can.

     

    I am asking basically "will this drive work?" I want to know if I need jumpers or something like that. Thanks.
