poofyhairguy
Hey everyone! First the drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148506&Tpk=barricuta%20xt I just got one of these drives as a wedding present. I am thinking of using it to replace the Hitachi 2TB 7200 RPM drive that I currently use as a parity drive- I basically trust Seagate much more and it was free to me. Will I have any problems with this switch? Link to comment
BRiT
You shouldn't. Both drives should be the same size, baring anything like an HPA infection. Link to comment
WeeboTech
Wish I had one of these. I've been waiting for the price to come down. Link to comment
poofyhairguy
I know my new Seagate drive is the same size as my Hitachi drive. It is more an issue that I trust Seagate more, and that the RMA center is much closer. I have two of the Hitachi drives, and have RMAed them both within 8 months. I would like to ditch the Hitachi drive and stick to Seagates and WDs if I can. I am asking basically "will this drive work?" I want to know if I need jumpers or something like that. Thanks.
