standardshipping
hey everyone. brand new to unRAID so thanks for the help in advanced. As copying data and noticed one of my drives got the red X. It looks like a lot of read write errors in the syslog. Looks like it all went south around: Mar 6 19:37:07 So....do i need to get this thing replaced? could it simply be a bad sata cable? thanks Attached logs: syslog.txt WDC_WD60EFRX-68L0BN1_WD-WXC1HB4UL22Y-20180306-2007 disk3 (sdi).txt Link to comment
trurl
We would much rather you always go to Tools - Diagnostics (preferably before reboot) and post the complete diagnostics zip. It contains syslog, SMART for all disks, and many other things that make it much easier for us to make sense of your situation. In this case, you are going to have to shutdown and check your connection because the SMART you attached doesn't have anything in it, probably due to connection issue. Then after restarting, post the diagnostic zip. Link to comment
standardshipping
here is the complete .zip BEFORE shutdown plex-diagnostics-20180306-2007.zip and here is the one after plex-diagnostics-20180306-2131.zip hopefully i did this right Link to comment
JorgeB
unfortunately the failed disk has SMART disable by default, you need to type: smartctl -s on /dev/sdi then post the output of: smartctl -x /dev/sdi Link to comment

standardshipping
Thank you all for the help but the drive will no longer spin up even after checking cables. The drive is off to WD for RMA. Link to comment
