nathank
I'm new to UnRAID. I replaced a faulty disk with one I had in another machine. The disk is maybe 6 months old or so. I assigned the disk and it began rebuilding. About 2% into the process it started displaying errors and disabled the new disk. I can't imagine this disk is actually faulty. Can someone offer some insight? My diags are attached. nas-diagnostics-20180318-1212.zip Quote Link to comment
trurl
Disk looks OK. Probably a bad connection. Bad connections are much more common than bad disks. Possibly there is nothing wrong with the disk you replaced either. Check connections and try again. Hang on to the original disk since it is a good backup in case something else goes wrong. nathank
After it happened I replaced the SATA cable just to see. But, now that it's flagged as bad in the web interface, it won't let me add it back to the array. Is there something I have to do to enable it again? Quote Link to comment
