Ebein
Hi all, Im new to unraid/Linux and attempting to replace a windows server with a new unraid build. However I have had the unraid server reboot twice, seemingly at random. First booted system Thursday around noon. reboots Friday around 8pm a few hours after the first parity check finished. then rebooted this morning(saturday) at 10:15. System Build Gigabyte X370 AORUS Gaming K7 BIOS v.F 32 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 (2x16gb) running at 2133mhz Ryzen 1800X running at stock settings Wraith Prism Cooler(from 2700X in another system). Gigabyte Radeon RX550 2gb video card 2 x WD Blue 500gb SSD as cache pool 1 x Seagate 8TB EXOS as parity 1 x Seagate 8TB Exos for Data Corsair CX750 ps All in a Thermaltake Core X5 case. ( I have 2 additional 8TB and 4 x 4 TB drives to add once I feel unraid is setup and running, and i run some side by side tests with my windows server ( i3-4130 with 8gb ram)) I went in and checked the logs but there is only data from after the boot. Any help would be appreciated Errors / Warnings Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: tsc: Fast TSC calibration failed Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: ACPI: Early table checksum verification disabled Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: ACPI BIOS Warning (bug): Optional FADT field Pm2ControlBlock has valid Length but zero Address: 0x0000000000000000/0x1 (20170728/tbfadt-658) Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: tsc: Fast TSC calibration failed Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: mce: [Hardware Error]: Machine check events logged Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: mce: [Hardware Error]: CPU 15: Machine Check: 0 Bank 5: bea0000000000108 Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: mce: [Hardware Error]: TSC 0 ADDR 1ffff815ddab8 MISC d012000101000000 SYND 4d000000 IPID 500b000000000 Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: mce: [Hardware Error]: PROCESSOR 2:800f11 TIME 1524924936 SOCKET 0 APIC f microcode 8001105 Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: pci 0000:04:02.0: BAR 15: failed to assign [mem size 0x00200000 64bit pref] Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: pci 0000:04:06.0: BAR 14: failed to assign [mem size 0x00200000] Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: pci 0000:04:06.0: BAR 15: failed to assign [mem size 0x00200000 64bit pref] Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: pci 0000:04:06.0: BAR 13: failed to assign [io size 0x1000] Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: pci 0000:04:06.0: BAR 14: failed to assign [mem size 0x00200000] Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: pci 0000:04:06.0: BAR 15: failed to assign [mem size 0x00200000 64bit pref] Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: pci 0000:04:06.0: BAR 13: failed to assign [io size 0x1000] Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: pci 0000:04:02.0: BAR 15: failed to assign [mem size 0x00200000 64bit pref] Apr 28 10:15:51 AVA kernel: floppy0: no floppy controllers found Apr 28 10:16:29 AVA rpc.statd[1886]: Failed to read /var/lib/nfs/state: Success Apr 28 10:16:32 AVA avahi-daemon[2212]: WARNING: No NSS support for mDNS detected, consider installing nss-mdns! JorgeB
Make sure you're using the Ryzen tweaks, though they usually crash, don't reboot without them: Link to comment
Ebein
Thanks, I have added the Ryzen tweaks in the 'go' file, and Disabled c6 in bios. Will post again if there are further issues. Link to comment
Frank1940
One more thing. If you have further problems be sure to consider the PS as a potential cause. They are quick to change out and, often, you get a 'loaner'... Link to comment
