H110
Hello, I am trying install unraid os in a PC with mother board EP2C602-4L/D16. This MB has problem with windows 10 drivers natively so, I want run unraid os, passthrought gpu (majority of cores, RAM...) and, also, leaves a second VM with OSX (a few cores and 8GB RAM, maybe...) Anyway, I flashed in an USB the iso of Unraid os (6.5.1 and tested also 6.4) but when I boot from usb the ip to connect is 169.254.XXX.XXX... clearly incorrect, and I can't access to this ip from other PC. If booting I select Unraid OS GUI, I arrive to the user, password... everythings fine but when the firefox is open with localhost... the page says that there is not connected... Testing, if I plug and unplug several times the ethernet wire I sometimes get see the page for the setting (main, dashboard, network...). In this moment I tried change the ip for a static ip with a correct way 192.168.1.XXX but nothing change... Somebody knows what is the problem or what I have to do to get it works? I want buy a complete subscription for unraid os but only if I can make this motherboard work properly. English is not my tongue... I hope that the explanation was clear enough. Thanks you, Best regards. Link to comment
JonathanM
1 hour ago, H110 said: Somebody knows what is the problem or what I have to do to get it works? First make sure the cable is providing a connection by plugging in some other computer to that exact cable and see if it connects to your network. If that works, then try connecting to a PCIe Ethernet card (intel preferred) installed in the server. Also, try logging in to the command line and typing diagnostics. That should save a zip file to the flash drive, upload it here. Link to comment
BobPhoenix
Just so you know the EP2C602-4L/D16 uses 4 Intel 82574L nics which work very well in unRAID. My EP2C602-4L/D16 is working well for me on 6.5.1 unRAID and before that 6.3.5 unRAID. My Tyan S5512 boards also use the 82574L nics and have been working well for me since unRAID 5.0.6. when I was running unRAID in an ESXi VM and passed the MB nics to the VM. So do as @jonathanm said and I'm sure you will get it solved. Link to comment
H110
Hello, I got boot everything... The problem was the usb drive and the usb port... Now I have installed Windows 10 in a VM and the performace is lower thant expected... I have to recheck guide. The worst thing is the low performance of the gtx 1080... and micro-stuck several times... I am worry about that aspect, maybe unraid is not my solution... BobPhoneix, what VMs do you have running in the EP2C602? do you have a "gaming" VM with gpu passthrought? Thanks you. Link to comment
H110
Also I have found this warning: I attached the diagnostics file also. I think that this problem is a quadro card I have connected and It looks like it is not connected... tower-diagnostics-20180512-1522.zip Link to comment

No. All of my VMs are headless. I access the Windows VMs with RDP. I am passing through TV tuners to VMs to record from. Link to comment
