CrackerJack
I'm a new user. I have a system set up with a Cache, Parity and 2 Data Disks. I've setup a few User shares. When I look at the utilization of the Data Disks I see 33% Disk 1 and 0% Disk 2. I thought that UnRaid would split the data storage between the 2 data disks but it seems to be using only one of the data disks??? Link to comment

Frank1940
If you think about it a bit, putting a batches of files on a single disk makes access much faster if you want to get at more than one file subsequently. In the past, folks had issues when a DVD video (.VOB) files were scattered over two disks. When one file would end, the video would pause until the new disk could be spun up. In fact, that is why split levels were added to the allocation logic. See here: https://lime-technology.com/wiki/Un-Official_UnRAID_Manual#Split_level Link to comment
