WorriedAboutDataLoss
So - had a disk fail (disk2) few days back and the contents of the disk were in emulated mode. Yesterday had a power failure and now server needs to do a parity check due to unclean shutdown. What should my steps be so I don't lose any data? I've already received a replacement disk and can install it to be rebuilt but I wanted to make sure I follow the proper steps! Thanks in advance! Link to comment
Vr2Io
@WorriedAboutDataLoss <-- , If not running 2 parity drive, no need to perform parity check, just rebuild ASAP. Except emulated disk file system not mountable or sample file read check on this disk fail. Link to comment
WorriedAboutDataLoss
Thanks Benson but how do I start the array without doing a parity check since it was an unclean shutdown? Link to comment
Vr2Io
Just insert replacement disk, start array and stop parity check. Link to comment
