Can't find my unraid server

I had been using a static ip address to my server, then I went and bought a Lyra Trio Mesh router system, and the instructions for setting up a static ip address might as well been written in Chinese, no offense to anyone.

can I rename the network.cfg file on the usb drive through the webgui interface, or do I need to move the usb file over to my windows computer and rename it there

If you are logged in to the web GUI then you can go to Settings->Network and reset the network settings from there.

it is normally best to set the settings within unRAID to use DHCP and then on the router set a specific IP address to be associated with the unRAID server.   In that way you get the best of both worlds in that your unRAID server is always on the same address in normal working, but if you ever plug it into a new router you still get a valid IP address assigned.

You can certainly rename it from the command line, which you can access from the webUI. Do you know how?

itimpi beat me with better advice.

I see settings, but not seeing network listed under setiings.

I do see AFP, NFS, SMB FTP Server and Speedtest listed under network services

OK, I think I may have found the settings.  Everything in that box is shaded or blacked out, and I think I need to stop the array to make changes

Yes, you cannot change the network settings with the array started.

What does it say near the bottom next to the buttons?

Don't try to put in any address assignments. You want to set it so the assignments are automatic.

ip address assignment is now set to automatic

So what does it say your server IP is now?

OK, looks like I was able to change it, and now I am able to access the webgui onto my windows computer,  Thanks for the help.  I will use linksys interface to set an a static ip address through the router interface

new ip address is 192.168.2.7.  Both the tower webgui, and windows 10 browser webgui seem to be functioning correctly and I am able to access my plex server on my iPhone again.

So thanx for all the help.
