April 13, 20197 yr Every day I get current pending sector is 1 warnings but after some time it returns to normal I have checked the smart report and it doesn't seam to show Could some one please advise me how do I fix this so as not to keep receiving the warnings? Thanks Seems like it might be an issue with the Crucial MX500 as other people are having the same problem.
April 13, 20197 yr Community Expert You can turn the reporting of that Attribute off for just the cache drive under the Device properties for that drive only ( Main tab, click on the drive you need to modify under the Device column)

April 20, 20215 yr I know, it's an old thread... I have the same problems with two Crucial MX500 1 TB. They are configured as a BTRFS-Pool for my virtual machines. I have the problem that when I turn off the reporting of the Attribute 197 (Current pending sector count) for these two drives by unchecking the checkbox, it magically gets turned on (checked) again after a while...? Anybody else having this problem?
