Crash on USB controller passthrough - confirming my understanding

Featured Replies

I am just confirming my understanding that I performed this correctly. I am trying to passthrough the bolded USB controller which happens to be in it's own IOMMU group without ACS enabled (see below)

The relevant line from my syslinux file

append vfio-pci.ids=10ec:8168,10ec:0123,10de:042f,1022:149c,1022:1487 pcie_acs_override=multifunction initrd=/bzroot

When I passthrough the stubbed device, (selecting it in the GUI) after a few seconds causes the host to hang. I have tried with ACS set to "both" and downstream, with the same results.

Is there anything else I"m missing or is this just, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't?

Thanks!

To what device does the id in red refer? I can't find a matching item in your IOMMU groups list below.

That is an excellent question,it must have been something in there left over from testing, and something I forgot to remove. I'll take that out and test...
