Fifthy
Hi! I just installed Unraid and after some configurating a question dawned on me. Currently i have unraid setup with one drive, no parity yet as this is for testing purposes. I have setup one share for my VM storage and that share has Disk 1 as only "included drive", when i add a parity drive, will my VM storage share be recoverable with the parity drive? Since the share only has Disk 1 included. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Parity doesn't protect/recover on a share by share basis, it's on a disk by disk basis, and all disks on the array are protected by it, if parity exists, include/exclude are just for shares to be on one or more disks. Quote Link to comment

Thanks! So i guess the "disk include" option decides how large that share is right? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Basically yes, it sets the disks that share can use, provided they have available space Quote Link to comment
