PhreakyPhool
I am a complete noob and setting up the unraid server for the first time. I have three 4tb disks and one 10tb disk. In the trial version I can only add 3 drives and I plan to add the 2 4tb drives and 1 10tb drive. To set up the parity drive I will have to select the 10 tb drive. Two very noob questions: 1. Can I run the unraid server without a parity drive and with all necessary docker containers and choosing these 3 drives in my array? Not looking for backup actually. 2. If I have to select the 10 tb drive as my parity drive will I be able to add media into that drive. Does it get recognised as a storage disk? TIA Quote Link to comment
trurl
Parity is not a backup. It can't store anything. It is not required. Quote Link to comment
