I have take out the disk from the box and plug in to my hardrive with a molex i can se the disk but cant monting and when I format its failed. My other new hardrive wd red 8tb works. The reason being that many of these drives have this issue: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/73717-solutions-shucked-wd-8tb-easystore-33v-pin-issue/ The Molex connector has only +5V and +12V to power the drive. Hence, it will prevent the issue from occurring. A straight 7-pin SATA connector may or may not have +3.3V supplied to pin 3 depending on the power supply. Quote Link to comment
