constant disk writes

Featured Replies

I'm having an issue were I'm having the first disk in my array constantly writing data, which is matched on the parity drive. The only dockers I have running are plex and handbrake. I had pihole running but I stopped it to try to eliminate it with no change.  Plex data is saved to a SSD and I havent ran handbrake it roughly a week. It has taken 9 days uptime for the 6GB of data to be written.

Is there anyway for me to find out what is writing the data to the drive?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I use the command iotop. I might have had to install it with the nerdpack plugin but it shows disk activity per process when you run it.

I'm getting a spike with the 2 processes in the image. I'm a rookie with unraid and linux. How can I fix this problem?

Thanks again

That's the docker image, if you have cache you can move it there.

I havent added any dockers since this has started. The only thing I have running is handbrake and Plex, plex is set to use a SSD via unassigned devices.

How can I identify which image is doing the writing.

Thanks for the help. I'm lost right now.

It's the docker image, Settings -> Docker to set the path, you can delete it and recreate on cache or UD.

That appears to have gotten thanks for the help! Not sure why it just suddenly started doing that.

Thanks again!
