Rajahal
Jetway Mini-Top Atom Dual-Core 525 NVIDIA ION2 with WiFi /Remote Control Mini Barebone $209.99 + free shipping Yet another great HTPC, minus the RAM and boot device. This one includes a remote too, so it is probably even better than the Zotac I posted earlier. Link to comment
talmania
Thanks Raj---I've been serious about building an XBMC PC for some time and am ready to pull the trigger. Which one would you recommend? I don't need built in blu-ray etc. Just a solid and quiet platform to build a powerful HTPC. Thanks! Link to comment
Chuck
How do the Ion2 boxes handle high bitrate full size BD playback, live Avatar? Link to comment
BRiT
How do the Ion2 boxes handle high bitrate full size BD playback, live Avatar? With the Nvidia ION/ION2 GPU acceleration via VDPAU supported in XBMC, it handles it perfectly. Link to comment

Personally I use the Zbox just because the Revo is much harder to find (and harder to upgrade). However, if I were buying one today I would probably go for this Jetway deal. The free remote is pretty enticing. I've never personally used one of these Jetways, but I've ready plenty of good reviews on these forums. Link to comment
joelones
Just to chime in and give my feedback concerning this capable box. It runs BD quite well in linux with xbmc. Sound, video and even the remote - provided you patch and build a module to fix the the keyboard events emitting from the remote control. You can find the the patch here http://gitorious.org/hid-aureal-kernel-module and build it yourself. If not I can provide you with a pre-built module for the stock kernel in ubuntu 10.10. Needless to say, suspend and resume with the remote's power button works splendidly as well. More so, adobe has released a vdpau accelerated flash player http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashplayer10/, so you can now watch HD flash directly on this little box and have the gpu do the decoding. Having said that, I think this box makes the perfect HTPC with xbmc. Link to comment
