RyanKav
Hi- I'm new to unraid, I have watched a few videos but it appears as though my setup looks a little different. On all the videos I've seen there are 3-4 shares already created under "Shares" and then when you add a share it pops up. Mine looks like it is saving but when I return to the "Share" tab nothing has been created. Also...below on the bottom left hand side of the screen my text always says "Starting Services," I have restarted them a few times and rebooted as well but it appears hung up. I added a screenshot at the link below https://drive.google.com/file/d/1f_W-mseRAbEDMwJVw6DIH-NCT3-a7Mi8/view?usp=sharing Quote Link to comment

trurl
None of your disks are mounted, presumably because you haven't formatted any of them yet. Also, none of them are reporting SMART, or even the disk serial number Unraid uses to keep track of disk assignments. These are just some of the reasons RAID controllers should be avoided with Unraid. Quote Link to comment
RyanKav
That fixed it, thank you so much! A quick question...I was planning to add more drives later this week, when I format the new drives will it also erase what I have stored on the existing drives as well? Quote Link to comment
