Pug
Hi all, Today I got a read error on one disk in my 5 disk array and have no clue if its time for a new disk or not a big deal. It's a 2TB Samsung drive and I have 108 read errors. I did a short SMART test and it passed. Nothing critical is on the array (mainly just movies/TV shows). I am happy to provide any logs just ask what you need (and how I get it). Really appreciate any help! Edited October 29, 2020 by Pug Quote Link to comment
trurl
Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread. Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
It's logged as a disk problem, run an extended SMART test. Quote Link to comment
Pug
Thanks bud, started now. Do I need to post a log? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
You can check the results when done using the GUI, or post new diags. Quote Link to comment

So it finally completed and said "without errors" Diagnostic attached, appreciate all responses as to whether I should replace the drive or keep on! tower-diagnostics-20201028-2216.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
I would give a second chance, replace/swap cables just to rule em out and if it happens again in the near future replace it. Quote Link to comment
Pug
Yeah? I guess that's good enough for now. I'll keep an eye to it, unless other opinions suggest otherwise. Thanks bud 👍 Quote Link to comment
