  1. Current kernel is 2.4.29. Initial SATA version only supports Promise SATAII150TX4 and SATA300TX4.
  2. Thanks Joe. I've seen those threads and am investigating. Some of the patches don't apply to our kernel, some are slightly different, some have already been applied Using the NMI watchdog to at least reboot is an interesting idea. It's currently not enabled, but I'll look into this.
  3. If you can find a document which identifies the Ethernet chip used, I can look into adding the driver for that. Also, the Stacker case has quite a few locations where you can install stand-offs in order to mount the motherboard - I'd be really surprised if you couldn't find the right combination that would work.
  4. We're committed to providing a s/w update this week.
  5. The DMA error problem is replied to here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=13.msg33#msg33 Short answer: "We're working on it."
  6. This works in the current s/w as long as the data disks occupy the same set of slots. For example, suppose you have parity, disk1, disk2, and disk3. You can swap around the drives amoung disk1, disk2, and disk3 slots. But you can not put, say, disk1 in disk4 slot (leaving disk1 slot empty). This will be fixed in a future release.
  7. Hi Joe, Sorry, in the UnRaid s/w current form, won't support that system's m/b because it isn't GigE (Intel or Marvell).
  8. Sorry, haven't tested any AMD m/b's lately; kinda low on the priority list at this point
  9. We are evaluating a number of replacement boards the D865GLCLK. Actually, a lot of boards work just fine. The particular set of features you need is this: 1. Gigabit Ethernet, either Intel or Marvell 2. Two Parallel-ATA controllers (for PATA version) 3. On-board video (so you don't need a separate video card) 4. Reliable USB2.0 boot It's #4 that separates the pretenders from the contenders
  10. We're working very hard on finding a solution to the DMA errors. I'll keep you posted on progress. To view the system log in "real time", open a telnet window to the UnRaid server, login as "root", no password (just hit return), and the type this: tail -f /var/log/syslog After hitting Return, the cursor will just stay in the left column, but thereafter, any logging message that gets generated will appear on the screen.
