Extremely strange behavior...
Tried but UNRAID doesn't want to log at the place where I told it to write the files on my array

Extremely strange behavior...
I also connected a monitor to the system.. No output... Super strange... For reference I'm using a 3900X processor on a X570D4U-2L2T with 32 Gigs of Kingston ECC memory. (Just in case others had similar issues with the same configuration I have.

Extremely strange behavior...
Agreed.. Sorry.. Just feeling a bit frustrated right now.. Here is a link to the original post. But just want to mention this time, I have zero access.. No WebUI, no SSH but I can access my array through NFS and CIFS.

VM BACKUP
I tried from the WebUI.. Didn't try to install VNC on the VM yet so perhaps that is the issue?

Extremely strange behavior...
So, my NAS seems to be in limbo again.. Well in-between... For some reason the web interface can't be accessed, can't remote login to the system through SSH.. All mounts are available though CIFS / SMB or NFS. The motherboard is OK I can log in to the IPMI and nothing unusual or no errors... But UNRAID is partially unresponsive. This really has me worried as to the stability of the system. Not sure if anyone has any suggestions. But my evaluation time is running out and having these issues is just making me wonder if UNRAID is going to be the right fit for me. I'm not dismissing the product or saying it is bad. Could be a combination of hardware, drivers, etc. But I really don't have any way to diagnose the issue right now as I can't login to see the logs, etc. If anyone has any suggestions as to what I could do, please let me know.. I'll wait before I forcefully reboot another 30 minutos to an hour.

VM BACKUP
Thanks Jonathan for your input. I may have to do this differently. I don't have sound at all with VMs in Unraid for some reason..

VM BACKUP
Hi, Any recommendations on a good VM BACKUP app I could use? I tried VM BACKUP but it fails all the time with errors.

CIFS/SMB and NFS issues
I verified and both Unassigned Devices and Unassigned Devices Plus aren't installed. As for the bad switch that is a possibility I considered but at the moment I do not have another one to test with. Reason that I am also considering it is, at times, the WebUI for the switch becomes unresponsive (could be just the Software, I know).. But my workstation also experiences disconnect issues at times. Bad CAT6 flat cables are another possibility. But I highly doubt the NIC being bad though... But I guess I could also try and see. If the problem is my switch then that doesn't explain why my QNAP server was able to restore connections. I guess it is more resilient to network issues and allows reconnections where UNRAID has an issue with it? Anyway, I have to do more tests I suppose. Trying a different NIC port on my motherboard is the easiest at the moment. But like I said, it is probably the switch that is going bad.

CIFS/SMB and NFS issues
@dlandon Thanks for sharing this information with me. I looked in my list of plugins and I do not have this "UD" plugin you mentioned and since I do not have JUMBO FRAME then something else is causing the issue.

CIFS/SMB and NFS issues
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "JUMP PACKETS" and what do you mean by "Unassigned Devices Plugin"? For the plugin, you mean a UNRAID plugin? From what you said, I suspect maybe my cat6 flat cable could be the issue. Actually suspected that for a while HOWEVER, with my QNAP device it was always able to reconnect so I am not sure why it is not the case. It is true my wiring could be the issue but just curious as to way it is unable to reconnect.

CIFS/SMB and NFS issues
Based on experience I had with my QNAP unit which died and now using UNRAID I have been experiencing a lot of CIFS/SMB and NFS issues. Initially I was using CIFS/SMB which was unstable so I tried NFS instead. First started out with the "FSTAB" approach which connects at boot time but seeing that I still had disconnection issues I then tried with "AUTOFS" but it is no use. Eventually my shares will be dropped and the only way to fix it is by stopping the service and starting it again. Not much as change in my setup except that I am now using UNRAID. Has anyone else been experiencing CIFS/SMB and NFS issues like this? I'm starting to wonder if it has to do with BTRFS (most here seem to be using XFS for their ARRAY). Or maybe something with my cache. Not really sure. Anyone has a clue?

UNRAID WEBUI UNresponsive, can't reboot or shutdown, 3 cores 100%
I have no idea how I could have had cache corruption. As for Global C States, they are all disabled. No RAM overclocking. There is no power supply low power, what I mean is, everything is set to nominal in that regard. Thanks for the help.. Been looking at the logs, I didn't find anything that really helped me, hopefully someone does. But the cache corruption? I really wonder how that could have happened...

UNRAID WEBUI UNresponsive, can't reboot or shutdown, 3 cores 100%
I can certainly provide the syslog.. As for the Diagnostic data, it would be from right now, not the moment the problem occurred if that is what you mean.

UNRAID WEBUI UNresponsive, can't reboot or shutdown, 3 cores 100%
I was able to recover the syslog before I had to force a shutdown.. Now a parity check is underway now.. Not sure if a DEV would like to take a look at this. I've seen others complain of the WEBUI becoming unresponsive and that weren't able to reboot... I think this needs to be looked into.

UNRAID WEBUI UNresponsive, can't reboot or shutdown, 3 cores 100%
Hi, I'm faced with what I consider to be a very serious issue. I was trying to access a folder on my share and Windows Explorer started to hang. I was curious to see if something was wrong so went to UNRAID's WebUI.. I noticed that 3 cores were in the RED (used 100%) and then it started to not work, got a Internal Server Error (500)... I ran this command once "/etc/rc.d/rc.php-fpm restart" which helped... I proceeded to my share again, same thing happens except now "/etc/rc.d/rc.php-fpm restart" wont work, reboot wont work.. HTOP reports several cores 100%. Thinking it was probably the PLEX container I tried to stop the container from SSH but every command is locking up at this point.. I seem to be faced with no other choice but to forcefully shutdown my server.... Has anyone every experienced anything like this? This is kind of worrying me...

[SOLVED] UNRAID changing from https to http, can't login anymore.
Please disregard, it was a cookies issue :-/

UNRAID Certs through Let's Encrypt
Yeah I noticed that, except I have my own domain. While it is nice you are provided one for me, and I will look into that, I have my own and using Cloudflare's DNS01 functionality to acquire my HTTPS certs. Now I my just remove HTTPS from all my systems anyway since I don't need security internally except for PROXMOX which forces HTTPS.

[SOLVED] UNRAID changing from https to http, can't login anymore.
OK so I can't login to my server anymore.. Changed HTTPS to HTTP and I'm back at the login page. Trying to login as root, no errors reported, just keeps bringing me back to the login page...

UNRAID Certs through Let's Encrypt
I see what you are saying. Instead of securing all your sites internally, you reverse proxy and handle all the https from the front, in my case that would be OPNSense through HAProxy or NGINX to terminate https and redirect to HTTP internally. I was also considering doing that since I don't really need security internally however I am still curious to know how to do this. I still think the UNRAID dev team should consider introducing an easy way to get Let's Encrypt certs through DNS01 and HTTP01 methods.

UNRAID Certs through Let's Encrypt
Hi everyone, I was wondering what is the best approach to securing my UNRAID server with SSL Certs. The way I usually proceed to automate this on my Debian servers is by using the ACME.sh script (ACME) which will automate the renewal every month. I am well aware that I could try and install this script by remoting into UNRAID and placing the certs at the right location but is that the way to do it? Perhaps there is an application (plugin) I can use that will do that for me already. It would be very nice to see UNRAID implement this feature as many servers have support for Let's Encrypt through HTTP01 and DNS01 methods. At the moment, there is no such functionality in UNRAID and so, what would be the best approach as far as UNRAID is concerned? Thanks

[Support] Zabbix-Agent & Zabbix-Agent2
Yeah but I see various issues with that... I'll have to run a service that will periodically run a script on the server, save it to a file and drop it in a place the zabbix-agent2 will see it, process it, etc. Involves a lot of changes to existing templates on top of producing new scripts and services. Ideally I could install the zabbix agent baremetal which I guess would have to reside on the USB key.... Same thing if I would use Prometheus... But not sure that is ideal, especially since it doesn't come as an addon with UNRAID so with new updates it could get in the way or just be wiped.

[Support] Zabbix-Agent & Zabbix-Agent2
I have a userparameter config file I use on my servers to monitor the SMART info of my disks. It requires the use of an external script that has to execute on the server to collect the necessary information... Here is the USERPARAMETER : UserParameter=storage.discovery[*],sudo /opt/zabbix/smartctl-storage-discovery.sh UserParameter=storage.get[*],sudo smartctl -i -H -A -l error -l background $1 UserParameter=smartctl.version, smartctl --version | grep -Eo "^smartctl\s[0-9\.[:space:]\r-]+" | sed -e 's/^smartctl\s//' The content of the script file is a big long so I'll skip but my question is the following. I'm having a hard time to figure out how this would work since the agent is running in a container. Anyone has a clue?
