Almost ready to throw in the towel on Unraid. I’ve been running Unraid for about 5 years now and generally very pleased with it until I updated to 6.12.12 that crashed my server and it hasn’t run since. I’ve completely erased the server, replaced every component 3 times. (Except the case). Upgraded to the latest version, tried unraid 7 beta 2,3, and 4; tried downgrading back to 6.12.11 but it will not remain stable for more than a few minutes! HOW??? It was working great until that os upgrade and once again no part of that system exist except the case and 2 of the 8 drives. Since I’m starting completely over I’m really start to look at alternatives. When I boot the computer with windows it runs fine but there is something going on that is costing me 100’s of hrs in pain and headache not to mention more than $1k in upgrades that I really didn’t want to spend. I was hoping that maybe UNraid 7 might help address whatever is going on but it doesn’t seem to be a release date known (if that even helps). I don’t know what to do..

No, the computer will not power up. Even if i take the flash drive out. The fans spinfor about 5 sec and stop. There is nothing showing on the display. And it did that to 2 completely separate setups. It booted up when erased my flash drive completely and put the 6.12.13 update on it but once the backup that i used from 6.12.12 even if i erase and put the latest on it (6.12.13) it will not power up.

I'm not at the point of crying and yelling but I'm real close. I've have been up for over 24hrs trying to fix my server and I can't. On Wednesday 8/21 my server was working perfectly and I had just finished watching a movie. I checked into the server and saw that there was as OS update to 6.12.12 from whatever was the last version. It downloaded fine and when it went to reboot.....nothing. It would not even post; no boot up sequence of any kind. The motherboard was showing a ram error, so I changed the ram and still nothing. After going through trouble shooting the hardware with no luck. By now I've change some the files on the flash drive and still can't get past step one, turn on. I then took another fully working pc and pulled out the motherboard and everything on it and transferred it to my server (motherboard, ram, cpu, nvme). I tried firing it up but again nothing but remembering I had tampered with the flash drive files I downloaded the usb creator and put a fresh copy of unraid on it and tried it again; this time it worked but now a brand new server. I did not start up the array or erase any of the drives hoping that I could still preserve the 110tb of data that has taken years to accumulate. I thought I saved a backup in my iCloud but couldn't find it. As I was getting ready to consult the forums for help I ran across Unraid connect and thought I would sign up so that I would definitely have a back up if needed in the future; only to find out that I had already signed up and there was a backup copy of my flash drives saved on Wednesday. I was thinking that all may not be lost. I copied the files onto the flash drive and tried again, to come up with nothing again. After wrestling with that for several hours I realized that the backup copy was for 6.12.12 (the flawed update) that must have backed up after the update. So I went back and used the usb creator to put another fresh copy of unraid and it to will not post. So I now have 2 complete motherboard assembl that won't work and have probably lost alll of my data., outside of my universal plea for help I do have a couple of immediate questions: How can Unraid cause a computer not to boot at all; (I've cleared the CMOS). Unraid connect only shows the last flawed backup, is there a way to get a backup saved before that one! Lastly any suggestions on how and if this can be fixed. 28hours I'm going to sleep....Thank you in advance!

SOLVED.....I was able to get the docker app to work by disabling the docker, deleting the docker image and reinstall the docker apps.

I'm still learning unraid and just about 2 months ago I used CA backup app with the intent of backing up my primary server info but instead ending up ERASING every bit of media and personal files from my server. It has taken just at 2 months to NEARLY finish my rebuild but 2 days ago I ran into another issue. Despite having an ups backup a power outage while I was not home shutdown the server. Once it booted back up the parity check ran and found and corrected thousands of errors. The problem is that I can't access any of the container apps remote or locally now. I can boot up the server, log into it, and my container apps all show as running (Plex, NZB, Radar, Sonar, etc) but when I try to access them through the webui I get an error. When trying to access Plex from any outside application it says server is unavailable.

I just installed 2 new 14tb Exos Drives and they show up unassigned device but I can't format them. It comes up Fail. I then took them out formatted them to exact and reinstalled. Both drives still shows up but fails every time I try to format.

It worked today!!!! No different than last night but hey it's working. To answer your question however, no proxy, no vpn, ip similar to my Mac (server sitting next to me). Regular lan network with cable company router/modem (xfinity).

wgstarks...Here is a pic of my log. My first question is should I have 6 logs? What information would you like to see within these logs? just looked at the log while trying to open the web ui and this is the message that keeps repeating: Unable to successfully download PIA json payload from URL 'https://10.12.111.1:19999/getSignature'

Why can't I get my Delugevpn on Unraid to work????? For the last 5 days I have been completed frustrated trying to get Delugevpn to work with my expressvpn. I used SI 2017 tube video and never got it to work; so last night I joined PIA and for about and hour after setting it up it still didn't work meaning the WEBUI would never come up. Then on my 50th attempt of so it started. I was able to completely set it up and test run a file and it worked. Today I decided to change the server so I copied the new ovpn, restarted it and nothing. I put the old server file back and deleted the new server and nothing. Why is this so difficult to setup. I'm knowledgeable with Windows and Mac systems but new to Unraid so it's a learning curve for sure. I'm accessing the the server from a Mac running Big Sur.
