  1. Hi, thank you for implementing iscsi This is a great help. I've added a 8TB HDD as iscsi Device. But the Status shows "[/dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD80EFBX-68AZZN0_VYGB2KPM (7.3TiB) write-thru activated]" Shouldn't it be "Write Back"? But i didn't find a switch to activate it on a device (only at FileIO). Greetings Protheus
  2. Hm...you're right. I have Telegram configured too. But...i didn't ever noticed that it not work anymore 😕 Edit: Ok that is working now. But i get all messages twice If someone have a clue please PM me.
  3. You are my Hero! After 3 Hours searching for a possibility to daily Backup the Flashdrive or its content i found this script. And what to say... Create Folders C&P the Script Fill the blanks Set the Schedule Fire and Forget Awesome! Thank you P.S: optional e-mail notification would be nice (i'm not so ften on my unraid gui)
  4. UPDATE 2: i found a workaround for myself -> Update to Unraid 6.9 RC2 After the Upgrade i've got an Output. After that i struggled a little bit with boot from ISO (GPU passthrough blocked boot from ISO with a OVMF VM). So i switched to VNC -> booted Veeam Linux Recovery ISO -> Recovered my ESXi Plex VM (Bare Metal) -> Switched to GPU Pasthrough -> and BINGO - Its working After some linux driver improvements and nvenc patching my plex VM can hardware-transcode (that was one of the Goals) So conclusion: - The whole migration project came with many running (between my rooms), shouting and reading. But in the end it worked. - After the unraid upgrade the web-gui is fast as hell and really responsive. - I think Unraid is the best NAS System for my needs and i will stay with it (bought Pro) Thanks to limetech for this nice piece of software, SpaceInvaderOne for his really understandable Videos (without that i could never realize this) and the community (Addons and some hints) Greetings
  5. UPDATE: OK, since i thought, a GTX 560 ti is a little bit weak for transcoding i bought a new Gigabyte GTX 1650 D6 OC 4G. But the Problem still exists. I've looked the two relevant SpaceInvaderOne Videos and read various Posts (most relevant): https://mediaserver8.blogspot.com/2020/07/problems-passing-through-gpu-to-unraid.html I've tried every possible Variation/Solution: - Switched the GPU from PCIe-Slot1 to PCIe-Slot2 - Activated PCIe ACS Override Downstream/Multifunction/Both (my Bios have no clear Option for this) (Now it looks like that) Yes, i passed through all of the device Parts I've created 4 VMs in various Configurations OVMF-i44fx ovmf-q35 seabios-i440fx seabios-q35 (XML attached): Plex-seabios-q35.xmlPlex-seabios-i440fx.xmlPlex-OVMF-q35.xmlPlex-OVMF-i440fx.xml - I've set the multifunction Parameter in the XML and corrected the BUS/SLOT/FUNCTION - I've downloaded the vbios (and corrected it like descibed in SIOs Video) and tried it with and without ... but nothing works. Can someone show me my tiny little mistake i did? It cant be that hard to pass through a modern GPU. Here is my System: M/B: MSI Z97 GAMING 7 (MS-7916) Version 1.0 - s/n: To be filled by O.E.M. BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. Version V1.12. Dated: 02/16/2016 CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Enabled Cache: 256 KiB, 1024 KiB, 8192 KiB Memory: 32 GiB DDR3 (max. installable capacity 32 GiB) Network: eth0: 1000 Mbps, full duplex, mtu 1500 eth1: 1000 Mbps, full duplex, mtu 1500 Kernel: Linux 4.19.107-Unraid x86_64 OpenSSL: 1.1.1d Please help someone Greetings and a happy and healthy new Year. 6. Hi trurl, OK, testing benefits, i understand (had some DOA disks in my life ) Like i said, in the Logs was nothing error-related. It would normally take a lot longer than 11h for 4TB with pre and post read. Yes, i thought so...but it failed at 73% in zeroing phase. I'll try the plugin with the next hdd i get (or i have laying around). Thanks for the reply. Greetings Protheus
  7. Hi, am i blind? I cant see the benefits of this Plugin anymore. It sounds so great at the beginning so i downloaded it. (I read that the array is offline while unraid-clearing is in progress) So i started a pre-clearing of a 4TB sshd - failed at 73% (Default script (gfjardim i think) enabled with pre- and post read) Needed Time == 11h Next is startet the same like above - failed at 99% Needed Time == 10h I thought maybe a script error because of sshd. So i startet again with the second included Script (cant look for the name at the moment) (pre- and postread disabled) Needed Time ==11h -> no errors but post read startet with estimated time of 9h Now i added the disk to my array and startet it (clearing per UnRaid) Estimated Time == 7h Array is online and working. Ah before i forgot: no errors in the logs in all of the jobruns... Please can somone explain me the purpose/benefits of this Plugin? Greetings Protheus P.S: The Reason for this excessive asking is: My default HDDs are 12TB HDDs. When i have so long times with a 4TB disk i am afraid to add a new disk. How long should this run? 40 hours (without pre- or postread)
  8. Hi, my Unraid-Server is now on and productive (thanks for the recent help). But now i thought "why not place my plex VM onto this?" (please, i don't want to discus plex vm vs. plex docker) So i migrated the VM from esxi to my unraid. Then i said "passthrough my old NVidia GTX 560 Ti (for transcoding). But if i boot the VM the screen remains black. If i switch to VNC output the VM is booting and plex is working. System: M/B: MSI Z97 GAMING 7 (MS-7916) Version 1.0 - s/n: To be filled by O.E.M. more threads to this (but mostly with more newer grafics cards) I hope i can find some help. 9. OK...i've checked... eth0 is now mapped on the PCIe Card (without bridging) (formerly only a virtual port which worked only in bridge mode) eth1 is now the onboard-NIC eth2 is gone (formerly the onboard-NIC) Greetings
  10. Hi, i reached the server again. Thanks for guidance. But i see now...eth2 is gone (i have a bad feeling...the second NIC is a PCIe card) OK i have to check this. But hey...the certificate is correct now Greetings
  11. Hi JorgeB, like i wrote. I tried this, but if i boot in GUI Mode i only see an "not reachable" Firefox Window. The link is on eth2 (Onboard NIC) and its bridged with eth0. eth1 will be the "VLAN-NIC" where i can put my vlans on to. (actually not connected) Greetings
  12. Hi, i set up a new Unraid server today. At first it worked like a charm. Then i wanted to change the SSL certificate for the webgui. After i changed it (like described in this Post https://www.target-bravo.com/blog/2018/7/10/blog-headline-1-6y3tj-49m5s-7tbal-56sar) i cant reach my unraid server. (Remove the bundle file (and revert it to selfsigned generated) didn't help) I cant even ping the mashine. In GUI Mode i can open the the Browser but it cant connect to localhost. ifconfig shows me the correct IP and the CLI says it booted up. The flash drive seams ok (its brand new). In diagnostics i cant see any big errors. Now i have no clue where to search. (For the records: i'm not really deep into linux) I hope i can find some help, because unraid seems to be a nice piece of software (til now i had a qnap nas and its horrible to work with). Diagnostics are attached. Greetings PS: Yes i know that i need a parity in the future but the intended disk crashed in the old qnap. i have 2 disks but on that are the files i wanted to transfer to unraid and then use this 2 disks as parity. limbus02-diagnostics-20201205-2227.zip
