  1. Hi I'm having a boot issue with my server. I performed a clean shut down i like to do this every now and again. upon bootup i some errors etc on the IPMI screen. i took a screen recording to share what it said i have no idea where to begin with these kinds of issues. the problem seems to be USB related but i'm not sure. i tried both USB ports on the motherboard and tried booting into safe mode. all attempts had the same outcome. motherboard: ASRock X570D4U thanks for the help. 2022-08-09 18-43-53 (video-converter.com).mp4
  2. thanks a lot. no i don't have spare so i am rebuilding to it. i have been saving up for a while and plan to replace my second parity and at least one of the drives with the same 16TB drive i have for parity 1 at £250ish they are a bargain. thank you for the help.
  3. Hi, sorry for delay it took a really long time. attached is the extended smart results of drive1 as requested. Thanks. unapollo-smart-20220111-0111.zip
  4. GREAT IDEA. thanks i will do that and see what happens. just out of curiosity what's the difference between rebooting in safe mode and just going into the settings and disabling docker and VMs?
  5. Hi I am posting my syslog as suggested. i logged in at 17:13 (line 3326) to check on an extended smart test for one of my drives because of another issue i had yesterday with a couple of my drives. this drive problem is not something i have had a problem with before for these drives so i don't believe they are the cause of this issue. the crash occurred after this login. i noticed the crash at 17:30. which is when i logged into the ipmi to do the reset. syslog-192.168.0.9.log
  6. Great thank you. I just started disk1. I will report back when it's completed.
  7. oops sorry. diagnostics attached. unapollo-diagnostics-20220109-0221.zip
  8. Hi, I saw a report saying one of the disks in the array was in an error rate and it was disabled, it also had 204 errors. i ran an extended SMART test on the drive (attached below). advice on how to proceed would be appreciated. if the drive is ok to continue using or if replacement is urgent etc. thanks for the help. 9. Hi, a few times now i have had an issue, where i can't access the server ui or mapped drives. something has crashed honestly i'm not sure. my motherboard has ipmi so i logged into that and took a screenshot. i have also provided a screenshot of the main hardware in the machine in case that is helpful. my understanding is that if i do a reboot then the diagnostic logs are cleared. since i can't access the system i had to reboot. the attached logs are from after reboot. is there a way to auto download the diagnostics so i can just take them every few minutes in the hope of catching in them what is causing the problem? this has happened quite a few times and i have never been able to find a solution so i had no choice but to come and ask the community. thanks for the help. unapollo-diagnostics-20220107-1721.zip
  10. Ok thanks for the feedback. I'll order a replacement today. Thanks again
  11. Hi. I found i have a huge number of errors (6579) on my Parity 1 Drive. the drive wasn't disabled but when i run an extended SMART test the test fails with an error. The short test passes no problem. Attached are the SMART and Diagnostics i haven't rebooted the server. I ordered some new sata cables to try replacing them (isaw in a quick google search this might be a problem) but i can't imagine why i suddenly get so many when before this didn't happen. i occasionally get a handful of error and all fixed no problem with no disable and smart passes. I'm worried this is a sign of the drive dying. unapollo-diagnostics-20211006-2054.zip Parity 1 SMART.zip
