  1. I started the task... accidentally commanded the disk to spin down half way through... so... i cancelled the reiserchk --rebuild-tree via the webpage... and restarted the task...
  2. Just wondering... How long would you assume that a reiserchk --rebuild-tree should last? Currently it has been running for near 12h... disk3 is showing little activity but the cache drive is very busy... but i was able to confirm that the task is still running via the console... suggestions? the system's is webpage is not coming up...
  3. I will let you know what I find out after rebuilding the tree and post scan...
  4. I see what you mean trurl... Thanks for the assist... I will be looking out for that henceforth...
  5. Running check now... drive 3 has been stuck at 73.6% for a while now... hmmm trurl... thanks for the help... if you dont mind me asking... what pointed you to those two drives possibly being the problem... Drive 3 was a drive 2tb that I recently rebuilt with a 5tb drive and everything seemed to work fine when it was built...
  6. I am running a full parity check now... If that is what you mean trurl... Thanks!
  7. so to recap... The Docker Plex is currently offline... I went ahead and built a new Phaz Plex plugin server... I was unable to install it to it's default location that was on the USB card unraid is launched from? which might explain why the docker version was having a hard time... progressively having more and more problems... But i was able to get plex up and running with an install dir of /mnt/disk1/plex How would I go about verifying if my USB card is going bad without bringing down the server? attached are the latest logs.... Thanks, Mat tower-diagnostics-20170314-0420.zip

  9. So... I am currently running the new permission tool on the unraid server in hopes of restoring the correct permissions...
  10. sorry for the long delay... Things seemed to be getting better for a short time but... today I was not able to play a video... so I restarted the plex app... and it has yet to start... so... I can not provide the logs from plex itself... but the logs that I do have are saying that it doesnt have permissions to a folder... chown: changing ownership of ‘/config/tmp’: Read-only file systemchown: changing ownership of ‘/config/Library’: Read-only file systemchown: changing ownership of ‘/config/Library/Application Support’: Read-only file systemchmod: changing permissions of ‘/config/tmp’: Read-only file systemchmod: changing permissions of ‘/config/Library’: Read-only file systemchmod: changing permissions of ‘/config/Library/Application Support’: Read-only file system6 10000 /config/Library/Application Support10000chown: changing ownership of ‘/config/tmp’: Read-only file systemchown: changing ownership of ‘/config/Library’: Read-only file systemchown: changing ownership of ‘/config/Library/Application Support’: Read-only file systemchmod: changing permissions of ‘/config/tmp’: Read-only file systemchmod: changing permissions of ‘/config/Lib
  11. sorry but yes... I have plex running... and I can hit the UI... I have removed the old docker Plex... and started fresh... researching the Plex forums... they suggest that the database was corrupted... but I dont feel that is the case because with enough persistence... I am able to play the video... Sometimes it is easier to play a video on a phone vs the TV... but I dont know why because they are on the same network... but different clients...!?! but I will get the same error of both devices... I have reinstalled Plex and it is building a new database... I hope that will resolve the issue... Any suggestions?
  12. Ok... So i have reloaded the plex Docker app... And I am still getting the same errors... "Sorry, We couldnt load the requested content" Help!
  13. I have found that I have repeated errors when playing a video via tcl smart TV... unable to play media... and media not found.... but I am finally able to play the video after repeated attempts... sometimes after clicking play 10+ times the video will play... Strange happenings...
  14. I am in need of help... After my recent HD failure... Which I have since corrected... Plex has been behaving strangely... Currently I have been using plex via Docker... streaming to a roku TV.... And when using either the TV or more reliably a phone... I have been getting an error message when trying to play a video... sometimes after clicking through the error message many times... I am able to play the video... and others... I have to use the phone to tether the TV to play the video via the phone... I have tried to use a different version of plex which i recently installed via a plugin and I am stuck at the loading screen... I do not get the chance to login... Ideas???
  15. Hello Folks... Well it's been a bit since I have been around but I wanted to ask for some advice... First my current system that is presently running about 12 HDDs... Case: X-Case RM420 4u Rackmount V2- 20 x SATA / SAS HDD Cadddy, Mini SAS 6GB Backplane -Rail Kit http://www.xcase.co.uk/X-Case-RM-420-Hotswap-4u-p/case-rm420.htm MOBO: ASRock 970 Extreme4 Motherboard CPU: AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core (3.5/4.1GHz) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009O7YORK/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Raid Controller: LSI SAS 9201-16i HBA So now that I have a feel for what my needs are for the system I was hoping someone might have an idea as to how I can slim down... I would like to reuse the CPU in a mini-itx system or as small as I can get to support 12 hdds... Does someone know of a small Mobo that can support 12 hdds(with or without the SAS card) and case that might work? Thanks, Mat
  16. Plex is known to keep HD's spun up depending on the settings... Noticed that your using couchpotato... do you like it? Thanks, Matt
  17. Hello all, Long time lurker here... My system has been running for a long time and has been upgraded along the way... well 4 months ago I had a disk go bad and while I didnt have a 2tb disk to replace it with I had a 5tb disk handy. So the plan was to replace the parity drive with the 5tb and move the old to the array... I first rebuilt the parity to the 5tb and then rebuilt the 2tb that was replaced with the old parity drive... I followed the instructions here and all seemingly went well... I now have 10 2tb and 1 5tb in the array with a 5tb as parity... Issue is... the parity drive shows 100,000 errors once it passes the 2tb threshold... the 5tb in the array hasnt had a chance to reach get full yet... so the question is... can I trust the parity drive? or should I just rebuild it now that the array is stable?
  18. Thanks for the reply... I will do that tonight... But what interests me is why 3 days ago I plugged the HD in and the system recognized the HD... It is to be noted that I had to play around with where I inserted the HD because the first time I plugged it in some of the other HD disappeared... But after I moved the new HD into a different slot the system went back to normal... And three days later the new HDS are missing again... Maybe the SAS controller is acting up? I did go into /dev/disk/by_id and the new disks were not listed there either...
  19. thanks for the reply... but that not really addressing the problem... i was able to plug the HD in via USB to a windows machine... It did see the HD and reported the correct size for it... but without formatting it... i wasnt able to go further and also try and get a smart report... i then plugged it back into the raid and rebooted the bare metel machine just to be sure and it still doesnt see the HD there... suggestions?
  20. Can your BIOS see the drive? If not then probably a connection problem. Wish I knew... Its a virtual setup running through a SAS controller...
  21. after a system reboot... fyi... to me i looks like swiss cheese syslog.txt
  22. hello there... I have to ask this question... I currently have two new 5tb HDs preclearing but im a bit concerned with how long it's taking... it's now been 78 hours and im still at step two with 35% complete thus far... I feel like that's a bit out of the norm... suggestions??? PS... after looking at the stats a bit more... the script wasnt progressing at all... so I killed the script to try and rerun it again but the HD wasnt there.... I have restarted the computer and still the HD isnt listed in preclear or as an unassigned device in unraid's site... Has the HD failed??? beyond reseating the device and doing what i have done i dont know what else to do in Linux... Eep.... Help@!@
  23. i would like to thank the OP for these files... they have helped greatly... Thanks, Mat
