Dynamix - V6 Plugins
This requires a change in the core files. Will put this in for 6.1. Great - thanks

Dynamix - V6 Plugins
It sounds like old and new versions are both installed. Can you give a listing of the folder /boot/config/plugins ? Sure: root@Tower:~# ls -l /boot/config/plugins total 276 -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 6405 Dec 10 2014 XTermTitle.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Apr 24 07:31 apcupsd/ drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Jul 27 15:06 community.applications/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 5626 Jul 27 15:06 community.applications.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Feb 6 20:21 copy\ of\ fan_speed/ drwxrwxrwx 5 root root 4096 Apr 5 13:24 dockerMan/ drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Aug 21 2014 dovecot/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11278 Dec 13 2014 dovecot-2.2.13-x86_64-3pb.plg* drwxrwxrwx 3 root root 4096 Jul 27 16:13 dynamix/ drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 May 4 16:58 dynamix.active.streams/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 2251 May 4 16:58 dynamix.active.streams.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 May 21 01:22 dynamix.apcupsd/ drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 May 4 16:58 dynamix.cache.dirs/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3671 May 4 16:58 dynamix.cache.dirs.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Apr 18 16:51 dynamix.kvm.manager/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 1660 Jan 24 2015 dynamix.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Jul 23 15:18 dynamix.schedules/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 2314 Jul 23 15:18 dynamix.schedules.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 May 4 16:58 dynamix.system.autofan/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 2523 May 4 16:58 dynamix.system.autofan.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Aug 2 08:26 dynamix.system.buttons/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 2081 Aug 2 08:26 dynamix.system.buttons.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Jul 28 06:51 dynamix.system.info/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 2921 Jul 28 06:51 dynamix.system.info.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 May 4 16:57 dynamix.system.stats/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 2853 May 4 16:57 dynamix.system.stats.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Jul 20 19:23 dynamix.system.temp/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3404 Jul 20 19:23 dynamix.system.temp.plg* -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4086 Jun 29 14:12 dynamix.zend.opcache.plg* -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 28676 Dec 5 2014 fan_speed-x86_64.plgX* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Apr 25 10:39 gfjardim.usb.automount/ drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Mar 30 2014 mpop/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10965 Sep 15 2014 mpop-1.0.28-x86_64-2pb.plgX* -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10864 Dec 13 2014 mpop-1.0.28-x86_64-3pb.plg* -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11340 Dec 13 2014 mpop.plgX* drwxrwxrwx 4 root root 4096 Jul 26 00:44 powerdown/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 5156 Jul 26 00:44 powerdown-x86_64.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Jul 24 07:49 preclear.disk/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3379 Jul 24 07:49 preclear.disk.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Jun 15 07:41 serverlayout/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7418 Jun 15 07:41 serverlayout.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Dec 8 2014 tftp/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16603 Dec 13 2014 tftp.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Jul 23 07:17 unassigned.devices/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 6745 Jul 23 07:17 unassigned.devices.plg* root@Tower:~# Edit to add: I've just updated to version 2015.08.02, and having done that (and nothing else) there is now only one System Button showing. Second edit: When I click on the power button, the pop-up menu is mostly outside of the window (runnind Firefox on Arch Linux). If I then expand the window to view the menu, the menu becomes disassociated from the power button. Can it be made to pop-up to the left of the pointer?

Dynamix - V6 Plugins
I have followed this procedure, and cleared browser cache, but I still have the red and green buttons displayed. If I re-install, it simply adds the third button back. A reboot will clear the situation The system has rebooted twice today, after powercuts - the three buttons persist. root@Tower:~# rm /usr/local/emhttp/webGui/ShutdownButton.page rm: cannot remove ‘/usr/local/emhttp/webGui/ShutdownButton.page’: No such file or directory root@Tower:~# rm /usr/local/emhttp/webGui/RebootButton.page rm: cannot remove ‘/usr/local/emhttp/webGui/RebootButton.page’: No such file or directory root@Tower:~# That hasn't helped either.

Server Layout Plugin for unRAID v6
I have no problem with any WD drive (but my largest drive is 3TB), but I do have a Hitachi (my cache drive) which displays "Hitachi HDS5C1010CLA382" as the model, with nothing in the Manufacturer column

The root folder (call it system, if you like) is still / However, the root is memory resident and, therefore, volatile - reboot the computer and any changes you made will be lost. /boot is the mount point for the flash boot drive. Any changes made here will survive a reboot.

Server Layout Plugin for unRAID v6
Still not working - I rebooted the server, I cleared the browser cache but the tooltips still move out of the window and disappear. This release was not supposed to fix it. I still cannot get http_user_agent to work. Ah, okay I misunderstood that revision note!

I'm no php expert, but when I google that the examples always come back with single quotes, not double: $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'] From this page:

Server Layout Plugin for unRAID v6
I experience a problem which I haven't seen reported by anyone else, so I wonder whether I'm the only person affected. On the 'Layout' tab, there's a pop-up (do you call it a tooltip?), which provides detailed info about the drive in the tray over which the mouse pointer is positioned. My problem is that this pop-up is only visible for the right-most trays. As the mouse pointer moves to the trays further left, the pop-up moves further right - this results in it moving out of the current window and becoming invisible (unless you have a very wide display window/screen). I'm using FF38.0.5 on ArchLinux. My trays are configured in a 3 row/5 column layout in vertical orientation. As an aside, I do wonder whether this plugin ought to be accessed from the 'Tools' page, rather than the 'Settings' page.

Server Layout Plugin for unRAID v6
Having set up all the drive locations earlier, the server rebooted after a power cut and all the drive-tray assignments have vanished. I'm running 2015.05.28-3.

Preclear plugin
I suspect that JoeL will be fine with this. The problem with the 'other' plugin was that, rather than acting as a front end, it reproduced the whole of Joe's script - creating a maintenance nightmare. Joe had no control over the contents of the plugin.

USB to memory card adaptor - GUID fixed or dynamic - collecting models/options
Asked on Amazon and got: After consulting with Kingston Support, the answers are: 1) Yes. It has it's unique GUID 2) No, it cannot boot from any of the two ports Kingston Technology U.S. Sales Support - End User +1 (800) 835-6575 U.S./Canada Technical Support +1 (800) 435-0640 +1 (714) 435-2639 I saw this reply on Amazon, so purchased two of these. They both have the same, non-zero, GUID. I'll not even bother trying to register with Tom!

My pwm controls used to be under /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon1/device/, but it changed with V6beta7 to /sys/devices/platform/w83627ehf.2608/. Then, when I installed the gfjardim plugin (now the dynamix plugin) it changed again, to /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/ - ie no /device subdirectory. At the same times, the fanx_input has moved as well. I mention this simply because it may be that you're loading an older driver yourself instead of using a later one as included in the unRAID image.

Yes. You have to make sure that the appropriate drivers for your motherboard are loaded, then autodection should work. I'm using the plugin and it is working well for me.

When I tested gfjardim's development version it was displaying highest drive temperature in the footer bar - has this had to be removed?
-
Dynamix - V6 Plugins
This one? That's the one! So you've taken Dan Stroot's/D Langdon's plugin, and integrated into Dynamix? It just needs the highest drive temperature adding to the footer bar, alongside CPU and System temps. Great stuff!

Would it be possible to add a display for the highest disk temperature? ... and then add fan speed control!

How does the plugin system work? Documentation Added - WIP
I don't think the suggestion was to remove the original page (normally under settings), but to provide a 'direct' jump to it from the plugins page. Should it be any more complicated than detecting whether the plugin creates a .page file and, if so, run it?

A direct jump to the plugin's configuration page makes a great deal of sense.

Can a plugin automatically restart after downloading an update via the plugin manager, or must this always be a manually operation. If it can be done automatically, what is needed in the .plg file?

I have just encountered the problem of the web page not refreshing after starting/restarting a plugin process. I found that sudo works fine ... but why setsid doesn't is not clear.

The OP references a "Method='remove'" for a bash script file. What other Methods are available? If I want to use a bash script during the install, does it need to specify a Method?
