preclear is running atm on sdc (started it long after I started the parity check), but even if it isn't running, the speed never exceeds 60-80mbit all connected via the HBA only

took me a few minutes to find how to do that it kinda makes sense now, somehow. Is there a reason for the low avg. speed with all drives active? edit: preclear is running atm on sdc , while the benchmark test was done

Gib dir natürlich vollkommen Recht in all deinen Punkten. Aber wenn ichs halt im Inland betrieblich kaufe, muss ich Brutto zahlen und bekomm die MwSt erst zurück, wenn der Steuerberater Endes des Jahres mit dem Jahresabschulss fertig ist, bei einem innergemeinschaftlichem Erwerb zahl ich halt von vorn herein gleich Netto. Natürlich kommen nur die Rechnungen in die Buchhaltung, die vom betrieblichen Konto bezahlt wurden. Deshalb geht das halt einfacher, wenn man ein Büro mit eh schon einigen PCs hat, als wie wenn man zb Landschaftsgärtner ist. Muss man halt abwägen. Amazon ist es aber Wurst, von welchem Konto der Nettopreis bezahlt wird. Und nix für Ungut, aber in einem Forum, wo gefühlt jeder zweite einen Medienserver gefüllt mit TBs an Linux ISOs daheim stehen hat, da spielen die Fragen der Legalität bzw. moralische Aspekte in Bezug auf solche Steuertricks halt eher keine so große Rolle.

Natürlich kommt nicht jede Rechnung in die Buchhaltung, da es halt mal auffallen wird, wenn man 400tb an Festplatten kauft. Wenn ich heute als registriertes Unternehmen in der EU, welches eine gültige UID besitzt aus einem anderen EU Land etwas kaufe, bin ich Umsatzsteuerbefreit. Damit man nicht jeden Verkäufer immer anschreiben muss, dass man ja eine UST-freie Rechnung bekommt oder im Nachhinein diese zurückfordern muss, macht Amazon das in einem Businesskonto halt schon automatisch und man zahlt nur den Nettopreis. Auf das wollt ich eigentlich hinaus. Jeder der ein registriertes Unternehmen besitzt, besitzt eine UID Nummer. Und dann frag ich halt meinen Onkel oder wen auch immer ob ich das mit seiner UID machen darf, zahl dann halt statt 370 nur 290 für eine Platte über einen Verkäufer der nicht in meinem Land registriert ist und er kann dafür dann die 290 als Ausgabe deklarieren. Win Win

Nicht ganz, da deine Mama den Bruttopreis zahlen muss und ich von Haus aus gleich 20% weniger zahlen muss, da Amazon mir nur den Nettopreis verrechnet. Ist jetzt echt nicht schwer zu verstehen

The WD Element was just lying around, and I spontaneously decided to use it as a parity drive for more safety besides all my offline backup drives. 270Mb/s is sick compared to my speed

Hi guys, I was wondering if there is anything I can do to improve my speed for the parity check/data rebuild. My parity disk is a shucked WD Elements disk and all the other disks are 18tb HGST and 2 12tb WD Reds. As you can see, with just the HGST disks, the data rebuild is currently at ~80 MB/s, and it won't go any higher. The Parity check is even slower at around 70 MB/s max (same speed when the mover (Samsung 990pro) is running). They are all connected via an LSI 9300-16i Card, a few weeks back, 6 of them were connected to the mobo via SATA, but the speed overall didn't change. Would it help, if I upgrade/change the parity disk to an 18tb HGST too? Is there a significant difference in speed, if all the disks are the same? Is there even room for improvement in terms of speed, or do you guys have similar speeds for parity check/data rebuild? Cheers

Hmm, hab momentan 13 18tb HGST und 2 12tb (demnächst upgrade zu 18tb) Platten, 4 m.2 im Mobo, 6 Lüfter und einen i7 13700 verbaut und vorher ist ein 1200VA UPS. Das Array bzw die Platten läuft 24/7, da 6 Menschen zu allen möglichen Zeiten auf Plex zugreifen. Spindown hab ich gelesen, ist eher kontraproduktiv, da die Platten ja auf Dauerspin ausgelegt sind. Viel Spielraum fürs Stomsparen ist in meinen Augen keiner vorhanden oder irre ich mich?

Also fünf SATA Power Kabel waren dabei beim Kauf, vier sind bereits in Verwendung für 15 Platten und einem Fan Controller und das Fünfte kann ich jetzt ja auch bedenkenlos anschließen, um vier weitere Platten mit Strom zu versorgen, zwei sind schon am Weg zu mir. Dann wird mir eh der Platz im Gehäuse ausgehen und dann muss ich schauen, wie ich weiter mach LG

Laut Stromzähler, der vorm UPS und Server steckt, bin ich immer so auf 220 Watt, der Zug mitn Strom sparen ist schon längst abgefahren

Hi Leute, ich hab in meinem Fractal Define 7 XL ein Corsair HX1200 PSU eingebaut und an den Peripheral & Sata Anschlüssen (gelb) vier Sata Power Kabel mit jeweils 4 Steckern verbaut, die mittlerweile alle in Benutzung sind. Die blau umrandeten Anschlüsse sehen gleich aus wie die gelben, da aber in der mittleren Reihe nichts dabei steht, bin ich mir nicht sicher, ob ich dort auch zwei Sata Power Kabel mit je 4 Steckern da anschließen kann. Die Bedienungsanleitung landete standardmäßig nach Einbau im Müll, nicht so klug in Nachhinein. Weiß vielleicht hier jemand, ob ich die benutzen kann? Hat jemand eventuell sonst eine andere Lösung, wie ich vier weitere Platten mit Strom versorgen kann? "Molex to Sata, lose all your data" heißts ja so schön und mit Sata Power extender von Amazon hab ich leider keine Erfahrung. Vielen Dank im Voraus

Guys, I just had a "Lost connection to UPS" notification on Unraid. Then I put the USB cable from a 3.2 port to a 3.1 port. The connection has been reestablished afterwards. Also, the battery charge went from 99% to 100%, and I am not getting the "Battery have failed..." notification anymore (Got them like 10 times a day). Additionally, the NUMXFERS count stays at 0 now, it went up beyond the 1000s before. Please try switching the USB cable to a different or lower USB port. Hey, danke für deine Antwort und deine Tips, bin erst jetzt dazu gekommen es auszutauschen und bis jetzt scheint alles problemlos zu funktionieren. Hab jetzt alle 12 Platten über die Karte verbunden und hab unter eben dieser einen Lüfter hingelegt, der jetzt direkt auf den Kühler bläst. Also Laie muss ich noch fragen, was diese Aussage von dir bedeuten soll "Daß es Deine C-States fast komplett verhagelt sollte Dir ja schon mit dem 8i aufgefallen sein" Was hätte mir da auffallen sollen bzw. auf was soll ich in zukunft achten?
