So after unticking vfio bind , this plugin can effectively give the dGPU to vm and docker ? thats what i want .. but after i untick the docker containers cannot see the gpu how can this plugin give the docker container the dGPU

but if its unticked dockers cannot use the dGPU it doesn’t even show on gpu statistics on dashboard, can you please explain this

If vfio bind is not ticked , the dGPU cannot be used for dockers … it can be only used for VM . So the switching vm to docker in the plugin doesn’t serve any purpose. Only vm to vm will be helpful.

Yes , only unbinding than reboot makes the gpu free than I attach it to VM and than it works for VM only and cannot be used for docker containers . To make it work for docker container i have to bind it , rebbot , than it works for dockers and now cannot be used for Vm. I was hoping this plugin will make the binding /unbinding smooth without need for reboot which will solve this problem.

Yes , i tried two times after hard reboot( power down ) , both times webui freezes on clicking the VM tab , basically i feel whats happening is that the dGPU is not getting released from docker and passed to the VM so only its freezing, before i used to manually free the gpu and pass it to the VM from system devices followed by a reboot but after seeing this plugin i had high hopes that single click of button can do it but its not working. currently the webui is not opening and i cant hard reboot because mover is running so I cant post any pictures, the logs also didn’t show anything significant or error.

Im trying to use cycle vm plugin , i have put the name of VM and the names of two docker containers from whom i want to release the dgpu , but when i click cycle docker and head over to the vm tab my unraid gui freezes and no vm can be seen . Only way to get out of this situation is a hard reboot . I feel the cycle vm docker is not working to switch dgpu between docker containers and vm. The dgpu is not getting released to give it to the vm

Recently i tried moving appdata form cache to array , appdata is ZFS dataset and all folders within appdata are also datasets now mover fails to move those

Zfs master plugin is causing very high cpu usage , its pegging single core with core cycling, the recent update is causing it before there was no problem , problem solved after uninstalling the zfs master plugin , its a wonderful plugin but something has broken in the latest update

It only works if that particular docker container is stopped before the served sleeps and starting it again after server wakeup , this way the docker container doesn’t know that server actually slept

I have actually tried it buy putting docker stop name of container in dynamix s3 plugin before sleep command box and docker start name of container in after wake up command box but this is hit or miss , sometimes the server sleeps without even stopping the docker container than upon wake up the docker container fails to see the gpu , is there any way to introduce a time delay like example the server sleeps at 12am so just 30seconds before the docker container should automatically stop and and 30 secs after the server wakes up the docker container should automatically start , is there a way to introduce time delay

Thats sad but i feel this is possible Only if there was a way to stop the docker container which is using the gpu automatically before the server goes to sleep and automatically restarts the container after the server wakes up , this way the docker container wont recognise that server went to sleep or not … may a script or a plugin will do this ? need more opnions on this

Hello everyone, this seems to be a serious problem … I am using dynamix S3 sleep plugin to make the server sleep and wake up at desired time by following spaceinvaderone’s video , but when the server sleeps wake up the docker containers which used to use gpu like example don’t recognise the gpu example jellyfin doesn’t do transcoding or any container which used to use gpu seems like cannot see the gpu and only way to make them see the gpu is rebooting the server . fixes i tried : updated nvidiadrivers , restarting the docker containers upon wake up but nothing is working, this seems to be long standing problem , looking for a possible resolution thanks

I don’t know if this is the right place , I installed gpt4all container, downloaded a model , but now the problem is that the webui is not showing anything it’s completely blank white screen.. there is no error on logs of the gpt4all container.. LocalAI its not pulling the layers at last it fails , wasted 80gb data downloading but at last it always failed to install the docker container I selected cuda 12 option any help please
