Evdev mouse toggling not working [Unraid 7.2.2 and Win11 VM]
Hello When I use the evdev passthrough of my keyboard and mouse on my Win11 VM on Unraid 7.2.2, only the keyboard toggling works. I have tried interchanging which device is listed as the first evdev device interchanging which USB port the devices are plugged into using the same toggle and different toggles for the two devices (and interchanging the toggles in the case where they are different) passing through the keyboard normally (under the "USB Devices" section) and only using evdev passthrough for the mouse (the mouse still won't toggle) two different wired mice I also made sure that the devices are not ticked for passthrough in the "USB Devices" section of the VM template. The two devices are plugged into the same USB controller on the motherboard (it only has one). I hope that a kind soul in here can help me making this work.

Boot from USB flash drive in PCIE USB expansion card?
Hi bmartino1 Thanks for your reply. The idea is to have the USB in a PCIE card that is not passed through, but then pass through the motherboard USB controller instead. If I understand you correctly, it should not be an issue (at least for some PCIE cards)

Boot from USB flash drive in PCIE USB expansion card?
Hello Is it a bad idea to plug the Unraid flash drive into a PCIE USB expansion card? Do people have experience with some USB expansion card chipsets being better than others? USB2 vs USB3 (my flash drive is USB2)? The reason is that I want to pass through a USB controller to my Windows 11 VM - I need at least 4 USB A ports but 5 or 6 would be preferable. However all my motherboard's (Asus Pro WS W680-ACE IPMI) many USB ports belong to the same controller so no matter where I plug in the Unraid flash drive on the motherboard, I can not pass through any USB controller to my Windows 11 VM. The obvious solution would be to buy a PCIE USB expansion card and pass through that to the VM. However, if I instead plug the Unraid flash drive into the PCIE card, then I don't need that many ports on the card and I can pass through the motherboard USB controller and have 10+ USB ports available for the VM. I hope someone can shed light on whether this is a good or bad idea.

Changing Machine Type for an existing VM
Thank you for the quick reply! What do you mean by "dump the xml"? It seems that "Virsh dumpxml vmname" is a command that will give me the xml file.

Changing Machine Type for an existing VM
Sorry for necro-posting but his is relevant to me. Will the reactivation mean that everything on the vdisk will be lost? Or is it just a matte of retyping the activation key?

Do you "switch" / convert your Win VM from i440fx to Q35, or did you make a new Win VM with Q35? I would like to convert my VM from i440fx to Q35 if possible.

[Plugin] Appdata.Backup
This seems to solve my issue. Thanks!

[Plugin] Appdata.Backup
The plugin has worked for me before but now it keeps giving an error about not being able to create the destination folder: [03.04.2025 22:01:25][ℹ️][Main] 👋 WELCOME TO APPDATA.BACKUP!! :D [03.04.2025 22:01:25][ℹ️][Main] Backing up from: /mnt/user/appdata, /mnt/cache/appdata [03.04.2025 22:01:25][ℹ️][Main] Backing up to: /mnt/user/backups-old/appdata/ab_20250403_220125 [03.04.2025 22:01:25][❌][Main] Cannot create destination folder! Thanks for using this plugin and have a safe day ;) [03.04.2025 22:01:25][ℹ️][Main] ❤️ What could be the reason? The folder /mnt/user/backups-old/appdata exists (The plugin log file should be at "/tmp/appdata.backup" but I can't find that location. Where is it?)

Unraid suddenly freezes on host (WebUI inaccessible)
I had to press-hold the power button to shut down and then boot again. Is there anything in the diagnostics file indicating a possible cause? vault-diagnostics-20250307-2240.zip

[PLUGIN] Intel iGPU SR-IOV - Support Page
Thanks for your reply! Yes, I should have clarified that it is for Win10 or Win11 VMs. So it shouldn't matter that the host is Linux-based when it's passed through?

I am considering buying the following as a DisplayLink adapter: https://plugable.com/products/usbc-6950u However , it says that "We do not recommend or support our DisplayLink based graphics adapters with Linux at this time". On this site where I can buy it, it says "Not compatible with MacOS, Linux/UNIX or ARM-based Windows." Do you think it will work?

Does this work with machine type i440fx or does it have to be Q35?

[PLUGIN] Intel iGPU SR-IOV - Support Page
I see, in that case I will try it out. Thanks again! The goal is to connect physically to a (local) monitor without a dGPU. Out of curiosity, where would you rank Splashtop among those stream softwares?

Would I gain anything in VM graphics with the USB-to-HDMI dongle solution compared to just virtual graphics card? So I can't pass through the entire iGPU from my i13500? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions!
