  1. Thanks, got it up and running now. I did detect -- load drivers -- and save. Now its displaying my cpu and MB temp! Kinda found the right sensors from the description and checked the BIOS for confirmation hehe
  2. Ok thanks! so I can't choose only to install PERL I get the entire packed so to speak?
  3. Hey, I'm about to install System temp. And have red the wiki and forum posts. I'm wondering where i can find the latest version of PERL which is correct for unRAID. I found a link in a forum posts for v.5.18.1 but I guess this is outdated now. Any help would be nice
  4. Thanks for the quick replies guys! I understand, then it really doesn't matter that much since I disabled the export of disk shares, and use only user shares. Just like to know where files are placed little OCD problem I didnt think of the Help button in the GUI, thanks
  5. Hey, I've used split level 0 since i started using unRAID; media tv shows Series seasons episodes Same for movies; media movies moviefolder videofile I manually created the folder media on my disks. Then added movies for disk 1. tv shows for disk 2 etc under the media share. But now i need to expand to my other disks. My question is can I use the option for "split level automatically split any directory as required"? Or do I need to do something else? I'm thinking this will maybe mix tv shows folders with my movie folders? Im using allocation method High-water.
  6. I also noticed these log entries-- trying your method and see if it resolves it!
  7. Thanks for the reply tdallen! aha, OK I understand. shouldn't really be a problem if the device assignment changes so that's good to know. OK thanks!
  8. Hi. I purchased a supermicro sas2lp-mv8 some time ago, but never had the need to install it before now. Im expanding my array and I wondered if any problems will happen if I switch sata ports on different drives? Does it make any difference if the parity or a data drive is connected to example-- sata port 1 or 4? Also when adding the drives to the controller card is there anything i should be aware of? Or do unRAID fix this automatically thanks for any tips info!
  9. Ok, thanks for the confirmation trurl! Thank you so much for the information! I'm going to use this in the future. Also I need to install unMENU and myMAIN havn't done that yet. Is unMENU and myMAIN compatible with unRAID 6.1?
  10. So I replaced the SATA cables last night and there seems to be no errror messages now. I guess I will have to just keep an eye for the future. I noticed this in the syslog: What is the message about pipefail? what does it mean didn't find anything on the forums. Is this something i should be concerned about?/ need to fix? I'll attach the new syslog if anyone would like to take a look if there is any problems i should be worry about. Thanks - niven mediatower-syslog-20150815-0117.zip
  11. Thanks! Just me who is'nt used to understand / read the log correctly. Ok i understand. Ok, thanks for the tips and information! I will report back when I have replaced the SATA cable with a new one.
  12. Thanks for the reply RobJ! Yes, i will definitely check if this solves the problem first. How can I determine which SATA cable that needs to be replaced? Do I check the model number of the drive? ; WDC WD30EFRX-68A and WDC_WD30EFRX-68AX9N0_WD-WCC1T1055807? or is it SDC that needs to be replaced? When I have replaced the correct SATA cable, how can I check if the problem is fixed? Can i run a test for this? really appreciate the help and tips, thanks!
  13. Hello! I ran a parity check last night. It didnt detect or correct any errors. But to make sure there weren't any errors I checked the SYSlog. I'm not an expert reading the SYSlog, but I usually "search find" for errors or failures. When i searched error this is what i found: I did a search on the error ata6: SError: { UnrecovData 10B8B BadCRC } and i found good information on this page: https://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/The_Analysis_of_Drive_Issues My system specs are: Motherboard: ASRock 1155 B75 PRO3-M M-ATX (90-MXGLW0-A0UAYZ) CPU: INTEL 3rd Generation Core i3-3220 LGA1155 Boxed (BX80637I33220) PSU: CORSAIR HX 650W PSU ATX 12V V2.31, 80 Plus Gold, Modular, 2x 6+2-pin PCIe, 8x SATA, 4x Molex (CP-9020030-EU) Card: ADAPTEC SATA RAID AAR1430SA PCI KIT (AAR1430SA-ROHS-KIT) RAM Corsair Dominator DHX DDR3 1600MHz 8GB with CL9. HDD's: WD Red 3TB NAS Harddrive x 6 SSD HyperX Fury SSD 120GB 2,5" Backplanes: ICY BOX IB-555SSK 5Bay Backplane x 2 The backplane uses MOLEX connectors so I had to buy and use a molex splitter I think from what I have red on the analysis page, that it's related to a bad cable or a power problem with the sata cables. But i don't know how I should find the faulty sata cable or what the source of the errors are. I will attach the whole SYSlog so its easier can identify the problem. ( The text files size was too large, so I uploaded the ZIP instead.) Thanks for the help and information tips! mediatower-syslog-20150813-0959.zip
  14. Thanks for the reply itimpi! ok that explains it! They got created when backed up my flash drive. The thing is I'm not afraid that there are any viruses on my flash drive. It was a part of the scan. I did the scan on a fresh download of the unRAID zip file from http://lime-technology.com/ and it found infected files, so its safe to say that the infected reports are false positives reports. The thing I'm afraid of is that it removed some of files on the flashd drive, when it detected the flase positives. Do unRAID prevent systemfiles from being deleted while its running? Or does it re-create missing files if the files arn't found? The System boots normally no error messages except from this Failed to read /var/lib/nfs/state: Success any idea what this refers to? something about the network files systems? I formatted the flash drive and reinstalled unRAID 6.0.1 And everything is working fine. Did it just in case the AV did something..
  15. Hi guys i did a full scan on my unRAID server with Bitdefender 2014 Free edition. I wanted just to check if there was any viruses etc on the system. ( i know its unlikely but just for piece of mind) When i scanned the flash drive the AV detected infected files on the flash drive?! The details report: Edit: I took out the flash drive and backed up the files on my unRAID flash drive. Did a new scan and this time it didnt find anything? was this because the system was running? I know the AV does this sometimes and doesn't read the files correct and treats them like they are infected. But does anybody have seen something like this before? Notice When i booted up the system I checked the flash drive and there was created a new folder called; System Volum information. Inside there is a file named "IndexerVolumeGuid". What is this folder? and why did it get created? Im concerned that bitdefender did something to the files it scanned which it thought were infected. I noticed for quick second in the popup bar that it fixed some files,... Notice
  16. Thanks for the replies guys! I did try one thing and it seem to resolve my problem. I went to network and sharing center, and changed the public setting in advanced sharing settings. Now i can view anything on my network, it was set to privat only.
  17. Hello! I did a clean install of windows 10 yesterday, when it was released. It's running great, but i cannot access my unRAID server with the \\tower command. When i do this this message appears; SMB settings are assinged to WORKGROUP in both windows 10 and unRAID Does anbody have similar problems or any fix for this?
  18. Hi me again. I have a question about sonarr and file permissions. When sonarr import a new series or episode i can't change the file name or move the file etc. It says i need permission to do this. Where do i set the file permissions in sonarr and what settings should i use? is it like with Sabnzbd with filmpermission 777?
  19. Thanks for the replies, and help JustinChase. I turned of ssl in sonarr, then it connected fine with Sabnzbd. When i used the ssl connection and the port 8090 it also connected so it seems like i need to use the 8090 if i want to use ssl with sonarr. It is donwloading and working fine right now
  20. I enabled SSL in sonarr. i don't know if i have enabled it in sabnzbd i will check it out. where would i find this setting if i may ask? I use the ssl from my usenet provider and i have enabled ssl. but do i need to use the 8090 port for ssl anyways?
  21. My ports: Sabnzbd; Container port 8080 Host port 8080 TCP Container port 8090 Host port 8090 TCP sonarr; Container port 8989 Host port 8989 TCP Container port 997 Host port 9897 TCP the ip adress to my unraid server is 192.168.1.8 static coucpotato connected fine with the server ip and port.
  22. hi jang430! I use the IP of sabnzbd, and im also using the host port 8080 so i guess that is the default one. hmm still not connecting i've also made sure i have copied the API key correctly. Also i didnt modify the port mappings of sabnzbd it is default. SABnzbd is set to listen on: 0.0.0.0 i tried using that but didnt work either
