  1. Hello Jorge, It took a day but last night I started to see folders show back up. This morning things look back to normal finally. Thank you for your information.
  2. Ran the check file system through the GUI with out and - tags and with the -L I think there is something I am still missing. ruinfocus-diagnostics-20240424-1830.zip
  3. Added the diagnostics, my music folder shares are starting to show up in the shares tab. But not on the network as of today. ruinfocus-diagnostics-20240424-0531.zip
  4. I followed the steps in the restart process which said it needed to fix the array? I believe.
  5. Version 6.9.2 raid with 13 x 4TB drives. I recently found a bad drive and replaced it once I was able to. It could have been 6 days total but before parity validation. First two days could not find shares on network. After two small size files started to show up. Two of the bigger files shares are not showing any files. shows as directory is empty on my network. Is this normal or is there something missing?
  6. I think I aligned everything correctly Don't seem to be seeing any issues at this time.
  7. Hello, again. It looks like everything is lined up with the array. Going to add back in the Parity and Cache disc and roll. Looked through a few of my shares and played a few movies on and off with no errors. Music and photos same
  8. Hello, I got the new Pass key. I have aligned my disc to what I believe is correct disc to the array. On the parity disc and cache disc. It says all data will be wiped. Should I be worry or ?
  9. I went into the area were the Key is suppose to be added and requested an Update? It said 1 - 2 days before reply?
  10. cool, reading up again. Waiting on an updated serial validation at this point.
  11. Hello, I hate to chime in. But I just had this issue happen to me. One of those Micro 32gig usbs just died after reboot from an update. I have an old backup of the original configuration on the unraid setup. I added most of the files from the old drive, lined up the disc to the correct spots. Waiting on new license, but I have the parity and cache drive saying in red. "the information on this disc will be overwritten once array is started". Is this something to worry about or are the files I copied over not laid out correctly for the died configuration. The files below were copied over to the new drive, I left out the: drift, go, random, shadow and super. Am I going down the right path or will I lose my data? I have about 27tb of data on a 32tb setup. Any words of advice
  12. Hello again, So on this topic, I don't know how to explain this. After doing a Version upgrade to my two older servers. On the oldest Server running 4.5.6 with a Dual core CPU which I upgraded to a four core processor, nothing more. After the Version upgrade, it jumped up a few degrees with out any other adjustments? Also on my other server, running version 5.0.5. I updated to the newest version to see the same in the temperature rise? Anyone one else take notice to any differences or change in Disk temperatures?
  13. This was an easy one, thanks for the help, both my older servers are now fully usable.
  14. Got it, started the update to the permissions. It's going to take awhile for the older server, 4.5.6 to 6.6 with 16TB, 4 core I5, 32 gigs of RAMM.
  15. From everything I read, this was really a fresh install to the new USB. After that I copied the older configuration files and replaced the newer ones with the older files. That was the only way to upgrade. I did see any other recommendations in the wiki or notes on the forum.
  16. Last one, I noticed that the file system in the older version is the reiserfs. Will this become a problem at any point? Is there a way to change the file system with out losing any of the data on the array? I know it's a stupid question, but I have to ask.
  17. Hello, After finally getting my server at a temperature that it can work at. I have tried to do huge imports of data from my older running server. I am talking about 500 gigs at a copy and paste, where part of that seem to stick in the cache disk and won't clear. Any idea's I read a different thread but I am not sure if it matches my layout. ruinfocus-diagnostics-20190302-1455.zip
  18. Hello, I have taken on the task to upgrade 2 of my older UNRAID servers. One of the upgrades, started off from 4.5.6. and is now at 6.6.6. The main issue is I am not able to access any of the share folders. Trying to access them I get a user, password request to go further. I have never set up any other account from the root user. I am attaching the Zip that is asked in some of the other issue I have read through. I have double checked the setting global setting and its set to all disk. tower-diagnostics-20190302-1443.zip
  19. After looking at the difference between the MB155SP and the MB455SP. You can see t.hat the 155 model has more vents for better airflow. Photos attach show the construction and how they differ. The one that looks like air would flow better is the 155 model. I am adding these detail in case anyone one else is looking to buy the ICY DOCK setup.
  20. My Sunday, I found that the Power supply was blowing warm air into the case. also thought about LED's and how much heat they are probably introducing. I have double check all fans, they are pushing air to the rear of case. After turning the power supply upside down and the LED's off on the board. I than sealed up the empty fan case holder in front with packing tape. Adding to try getting more exhaust out the rear of the case, I zip tied two fans together for the rear exhaust. I even went on line and found the older ICYDOC's (MB155SPF vs MB455SPF), but what they showed in the photo and what I received wasn't what I was hoping for. They both use the same disc holders. But with these adjustment, my disc are running between 39-44 degrees and haven't shutdown due to heat. Before all these adjustments I was hitting the shutdown barrier at 50 degrees constantly. Next steps are going to be ripping out the center plates on the cages that are added in to hold down the 2.5 drives, but I think they are block or retaining some heat against the drives. Also I ordered up a low profile heat sync and fan for the CPU, hoping that maybe it throwing off the case circulation. Last thing, I am going to take of the solid state drive I put on the board to create a dual but environment. I didn't think about the VM machines I could run. Anyone else running the Intel I9 CPU with Gigabyte z390 pro mother board, 32gig of Ramm? Update: I did what I mentioned and used my band saw to cut out the center plate of the new disc holders. With this I see a 4-5 degree drop instant. I am now around I am now running between 40-43 degrees on all drives, still not were I am happy, but a better place. Looking at the newer ICYDOC fan's I think they changed to a different kind and the Green board doesn't look the same. I think they went cheap and it's cause the rest of the problems I am experiencing. My thoughts, these new units are causing me headaches.
  21. I re-ran the unraid key tool, not realizing how they coordinate to the pro. key. just sent a request to the support desk to update the information to my new key from my older 4.5.6
  22. The photos I was showing are my older UnRaid servers running more or less the same configurations I have with the new one. I have found one issue, I had the Power inverter fan facing into the case. I have turned this around to match the others. I think the other issues are the LED's on the board, along with the Large heat sink on the CPU. I Think I am going to try and find a low profile set up for the I9 processor and get rid of the LED lighting up along with the M.2 SSD. I am home this week, looking to get this dialed in.
