Cache Device XFR stuck or BTRFS works?
Hello again, I believe that I had solved the issue with a simple directory change. Did not work. How do I force the cache drive to distribute its content onto other drives?

Cache Device XFR stuck or BTRFS works?
I have tried to run it a few times and it keeps hanging. I think the 1.46tb might be causing it to hang

Cache Device XFR stuck or BTRFS works?
I have three Servers, basically all are hardware updates from the previous build up. All are running the 6.12.12 software, noticed that the only differences I didn't catch as they were all software upgrade a few years back. I didn't pay attention to the Cache device that is causing the issue today. Two servers have the Cache formatted in btrfs, the only that is the problem has it in xfs.

Cache Device XFR stuck or BTRFS works?
Hello all again, I am puzzled why my cache device formatted with BTRFS is moving files correctly. While my other Server is not using the XFR format? I cannot get the device to move the files to the Array at this time. I have build up 1.46TB as I didn't notice it wasn't following through. How can I get the files to move first. Which format is the one that will work without any further input?

Disk rebuilds with different estimated speeds.
Update, Two things were wrong from what I found out. First the Bios was set to the new Disk option which I had to revert to Legacy. Than the UDMA issue was part of a raid card port was bad. Now I have the Disk rebuilding at 50-80MB a Sec. Better days are here. Thanks to all that stepped in and gave me a reference.

Disk rebuilds with different estimated speeds.
So I just seen someone that pointed out the UDMA, looking over the log files I see the same issue in my server. I have ordered another SATA 6GBS card I am using for the connections to see if this is the probelm.

Disk rebuilds with different estimated speeds.
I have three Unraid servers each recently had a drive go bad. I have two servers with 8 disk in the raid along with 1 parity and 1 cache. The raid is 32TB and I am updating the Parity disk to 8TB. I have another server with 13 disk in the raid configuration. The raid is 52TB and the parity disk is at 4TB at this time. I have to wait for the Disk rebuild before I can update the parity disk. The two servers with 8 disk are rebuilding the drives with speeds in the MB/Sec. The server with 13 disk is rebuilding the disk at kb/Sec speeds? The drives are all WD NAS drives with 5400RPM 6GB/sec. I am trying to figure out if there is a configuration I'm missing or am I choking the speed some how?

How can I improve my parity check/data rebuild speed?
Okay does anyone actually have a remedy with the WD drives? I have a similar issue with 52TB across 13 drives in mixed environment of 7200 and 5400 speeds. Is it possible to go around the parity/data rebuild from a failed drive? Can these checks be done separately and what method of order if so.

Lost all files in two large shares after failed disk replaced.
I followed the steps in the restart process which said it needed to fix the array? I believe.

Lost all files in two large shares after failed disk replaced.
Version 6.9.2 raid with 13 x 4TB drives. I recently found a bad drive and replaced it once I was able to. It could have been 6 days total but before parity validation. First two days could not find shares on network. After two small size files started to show up. Two of the bigger files shares are not showing any files. shows as directory is empty on my network. Is this normal or is there something missing?

Hello, I got the new Pass key. I have aligned my disc to what I believe is correct disc to the array. On the parity disc and cache disc. It says all data will be wiped. Should I be worry or ?- USB flashdrive just died
I went into the area were the Key is suppose to be added and requested an Update? It said 1 - 2 days before reply?- USB flashdrive just died
cool, reading up again. Waiting on an updated serial validation at this point.- USB flashdrive just died
Hello, I hate to chime in. But I just had this issue happen to me. One of those Micro 32gig usbs just died after reboot from an update. I have an old backup of the original configuration on the unraid setup. I added most of the files from the old drive, lined up the disc to the correct spots. Waiting on new license, but I have the parity and cache drive saying in red. "the information on this disc will be overwritten once array is started". Is this something to worry about or are the files I copied over not laid out correctly for the died configuration. The files below were copied over to the new drive, I left out the: drift, go, random, shadow and super. Am I going down the right path or will I lose my data? I have about 27tb of data on a 32tb setup. Any words of advice - USB flashdrive just died
