Right, not sure what could have happened then 🤷🏼♂️

That's odd. You included all the quotes right ? Do you have some shell other than bash or zsh on your server ? The du command output looks fine. At a loss for ideas, maybe try the most recent version (5.5.0) ?

v2019.02.19b (5.5.0) is out ! This is overall a very small release. There was a bug that prevented Reserved Space to be saved. Also, rsync error 13 (Errors with program diagnostics) is now also flagged so it won't stop the whole operation, you will still need to check the logs as for the reasons of the error. Changes: - Allow ReservedAmount/ReservedUnit to be saved to disk - Add error 13 as flagged command - Core libraries updated

It shows two warnings, for commands that exited with an error The first one is for command find "/mnt/disk7/backups/." -exec stat --format "%%A|%%U:%%G|%%F|%%n" {} \; The second is for find "/mnt/disk7/backups/." ! -name . -prune -exec du -bs {} + Run them from the command line and check what errors you get

I see. Could you follow the steps at https://github.com/jbrodriguez/controlr-support ? I'd like to replicate the issue with your user data.

I'll try to resist 'peer' pressure, if it comes to that 🤣

Can you double check that in the ControlR settings the Visible checkbox is checked for that user/dockers/vms ?

Oh ok, thanks trurl, I hadn't read that through.

It will delete the source files if the rsync (copy) command was successful, which seems to be the case as per you screenshot. If you send me the log (/boot/logs/unbalance.log), I can take a look if it was unable to delete the source for some reason (pm if you prefer).

ControlR (Android/iOS app for unRAID)
Yes, that's the theme Would you mind sharing a screenshot? (pm if you prefer?) I published version 4.6.0+ that has been reportedly working with 6.7.0-rcX. Can you confirm that's the version you're running ? If that's the case, are you running RC2 or RC3 ?

ControlR (Android/iOS app for unRAID)
Thanks for the heads up ! I've published v4.7.0 on Google's Play Store, with a fix for the app icon. No update on iOS side. Let me know if it doesn't fix it for you. I'll make a bit whiter Yes, it was technical, there were occasions in which it got badly garbled (bad scrolling logic it seems). I'll take another stab at it, I like it myself (and make it optional) Thanks, I'll check that out.

v2019-02-08 - 2.15.0 is out ! - Add support for 6.7.x This should also fix the issue mentioned by darrenyorston !

ControlR (Android/iOS app for unRAID)
v4.6.0 is available on the App Store / Play Store ! This is a maintenance release to provide preliminary support for Unraid 6.7.x. Additionally, the following changes are included: - Add TrueBlack theme - Update to base libraries - Better support for recent mobile devices NOTES: I need to work on some other stuff and this release was blocking me. So, here's hoping there are no breaking changes in future RCs/stable 6.7.x 😁 TrueBlack is meant for mobile devices with OLED screens, it's should look great a 'true' black background (thanks to the person that suggested it). It should also have better support for the new iPhone Xx. Update the ControlR plugin as well (v2019.02.08)

Hi bdydrp, It works at disk level, not share level, so it doesn't use/see the split levels you set.
-
[Plugin] unbalanced
Right, that's ~1.2 EB ! Can't tell why that's the case, though 🤷🏼♂️

As for best practices, you should use unbalance exclusively (no other writes to at least the target disk(s)). Turbo Write (unraid settings) should get you a speed bump.

Run this from the command line find "/mnt/disk2/PC Backups/." ! -name . -prune -exec du -bs {} + Post back the result
-
[Plugin] unbalanced
it's performing a find command at that point find "/mnt/disk1/folder/." -exec stat --format "%%A|%%U:%%G|%%F|%%n" {} \; Try to run this from your command line, let me know if it works. Replace 'disk1/folder' with the disk/folder you're trying to move/copy.

ControlR (Android/iOS app for unRAID)
Hi, thanks for the kudos !! The supported (and suggested) method to access a server remotely with ControlR is using a VPN (such as OpenVPN and in the not so far future, WireGuard). Check the FAQ for some specific solutions.

[Plugin] unbalanced
Hi, looking at your screenshot, it's reporting PC Backups/WindowsImageBackup as being 1.16 EB !!! 😮 😮 😮 Do you have any idea why that might be ? The plugin obtains folder size with du, a system level command, so I'm not sure what could be the issue. Let me know.

Thanks a lot for the info darrenyorston. With regards to apps showing as unselectable, it was a design decision I made when I implemented the feature. The idea was that you could 'taunt' the non-root users and tell them ... look! look at all the apps you're missing out on, since you're not root 😁 😁 😁 ! Joking aside, I can't remember why I decided to show the docker/vm as non selectable, even if marked as not visible. I've fixed this behavior in my dev environment. If Visible is not checked, the app won't appear. I'm waiting for 6.7.0 stable to release a new version (which should be 'any time now' (tm) 😁). As for the whack-a-mole, that's mostly for consistency. I can see only three scenarios in which the plugin checks a box under the hood: - user checks VISIBLE -> plugin checks READ - user un-checks VISIBLE -> plugin un-checks all the rest - user un-checks READ -> plugin un-checks all the rest There's probably a couple automations I've missed, but it seems to work consistently for now.
