Solutions

  1. BrianB's post in Can't connect to Unraid from Windows 11 (Enter network credentials infinite loop) was marked as the answer   
    Not sure if this is what you meant, but I created an additional user and password in Unraid and when I entered these in that (credentials) window it connected right away.  Not sure why the original one wasn't working, but that solved the issue for now.
