  1. Just upgraded. Have to log on to uR server when I get home and confirm everything's working as it should but thanks again
  2. Interesting. So if we update our CP accounts everything continues o work tickety-boo on uR (minus the multiple PC's)? That's good news! Thanks for being the guinea pig!
  3. I only really need the backup to external disk and cloud (why aren't you guys saving files to centralized server...?). Versioning would be a + but not my hill to die on and something that doesn't cost a fortune (and is secure) would be nice. Just need a working, unRAID compatible docker that fits that....
  4. Well I guess I'm 'glad' I hadn't gotten around to cloud backup yet. What a waste of time that would have been. I guess we wait fro the brilliant minds to give us an unRAID friendly alternative... Does the existing unRAID docker support Small Business?
  5. Any of you smart folks figure out how to import M3U playlists (created in Winamp and/or Media Monkey) in to Plex Server?
  6. OK...seem to have got that working but now it's telling me there's insufficient space on an empty 1TB drive to backup 433GB... Sorry about the late reply. Figured this out (when I first ran it I accidentally missed pointing to the folder on the drive and just pointed to the drive ) and just haven't had time to get back on here! So seems to be working now
  7. OK...seem to have got that working but now it's telling me there's insufficient space on an empty 1TB drive to backup 433GB...
  8. Aaah, well kids are watching Snow White via Plex at the moment...so that will have to wait When I restart it, then I should be able to see my USB disks under 'destinations/folders' in Crashplan, correct?
  9. should be /mnt/disks Also, you're going to have to stop and start the docker service because anything created via Unassigned Devices won't be visible within a docker app because the service has already started once the mount takes place. Restarting the service fixes that. Yeah, sorry that was a typo (on here). Stopped Crashplan docker, working on installing Unassigned Devices. Stay tuned for more!
  10. Sure is hard to keep up with you guys and all this stuff lol OK so unassigned devices, I'll give that a shot. Does this mean I can remove Snap (and the ntfs-3G) plugins?
  11. As far as I know SNAP is not compatible with the current unRAID - do you mean the Unassigned Devices plugin? If it was the Unassigned Devices plugin then at the Linux level the devices it mounts show up under /mnt/disks/ Snap seems to be working, like I said, I can see the USB disks in Explorer, MC etc. If not Snap, what are we supposed to use for accessing external USB drives now...? Tried /mt/disks/ as my edited data path...seems to be no change.
  12. OK, back to this. (I know, living life on the edge going this long without a steady backup. I'm a busy boy.) I've successfully installed the latest version of Crashplan via Community Apps as per this thread: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=33864.0 I've also got my two USB drives visible in Windows Explorer as \\Tower\usb3a and \\Tower\usb3b via Snap However, when I browse through the Crasplan WebGUI to find them as a backup location, they don't exist as options. Do I have to edit my '/data' path to something other than '/mnt/user/' to see the USB locations? If so, what?
  13. I haven't actually had time to touch the server but when I got home Friday, Plex magically started working fine again... Did it possibly just need a couple days to fully compile my media collection? It's 'only' a few TB. I mean that's not small but it's nowhere near what a lot of folks are running. I don't know if this is considered [solved] but I'm glad it's working normally again.
  14. The recommendation has always been to put appdata in a cache-only share. From the command line what do you get with ls -lah /mnt/user0 I'll try tonight/this weekend when I get home and get back to ya
  15. Had a bit of a family emergency yesterday, so just getting back to this... I should probably relocate my Transmission info to the appdata folder (that got put there as at one point unRAID wouldn't let you save app data to the cache drive if I recall). Plex's config is already pointing there though so that doesn't really explain the slowness. Not sure what bogus folders you're referring to either. My shares all appear to be the ones I've created... Bios...yes some day...lol (Gordie I hate being so @#$'ing busy!) Any other input?
  16. Aye, aye. tower-diagnostics-20160217-2044.zip
  17. I'm a busy boy and haven't had a lot of time to fiddle with my server but after shutting down and moving it to another (it's original) room this weekend I discovered and fixed numerous issues that came up. First, I couldn't seem to restart or reload any installed Dockers. In researching why, I discovered I need to set those shares to "cache only" for starters (which is helpful) and then needed to also do an unRAID update. Done and A-OK. However, my reloaded github version of Plex was slow and/or not functioning and giving me errors that my Roku and Chrome (desktop web GUI) could not access the server. Upon researching that I discovered I should be using the newer Linux hosted versions of the Dockers and the Community Apps plugin. So I removed my existing Dockers and installed the Community Apps plugin. Done and A-OK again. I then used the new Community Apps plugin in to install the Linux hosted versions of Transmission and Plex. So far so good. Transmission functions fine and Plex appears to load fine at first allowing me to at least view my TV series again (which I couldn't with the github version) and wasn't getting any "can't access server" errors. However, it is still PAINFULLY slow to load anything and I can't seem to find any fixes for that after Googling it. So far the solutions I've seen are basically" Just wait for the next Plex update". So I'm at a bit of road block of sorting this out on my own. Anyone else having similar problems and know of a solution? Kind of a shame as both the server and Plex were ROCK solid prior to updating...lol
  18. Thanks again Trurl. I'll give that a shot...probably tomorrow night. Do I need to/how would I uninstall the other one?
  19. OK, so I managed to get the CrashPlan docker setup and running, installed CrashPlan on my W8 machine and set up PuTTY as per these intructions: http://thegearsphere.com/post/36449786819/install-crashplan-on-unraid That all seems to be working and I can see the server folders I want to backup while running the CrashPlan GUI from my PC. GREAT for a newb I'd say!...lol Now the USB 3.0 drives... The only instructions I could find on adding external USB drives was here: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Mounting_an_external_USB_drive_having_an_existing_NTFS_file_system_in_READ/WRITE_mode_to_transport_files_from/to_unRaid_server I've installed the latest NTFS files from here: http://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/slackware/slackware-current/slackware/a/ ...and otherwise followed the instructions...but no USB disks show up when I type "cat /proc/partitions" as per the instructions (they should be showing up as sdi and beyond but only go to sdh, which is my cache drive ). Any help? Also, the instructions state in this section: Yes I've changed the command to my directories and the current file name but what is my "go" script and how would I go about doing this so it just runs when rebooted (if in fact I still need to do any of this to mount an external USB 3.0 drive in V6). Thanks.
  20. Got Transmission running using your guide, thanks again for the great post!
  21. Well I only ever moved data via explorer so I have no idea why there was a problem but I'm glad that New Permissions fixed the problem.
  22. Holy THANK YOU!!!! I could kiss you right now! Finally finished the parity check, upgraded to "Plus" and added my cache drive and then had time to run "New Permissions"... Totally fixed the issue! I even created new user share with a single included disk no problem! And the shares are all showing aggregate views of the data that's on the drives it's supposed to be!!!!! YAAAAAAAY!
  23. Yes, I tried either/or included/excluded at separate times. Both returned the same errror in the thread title. User shares are enabled. Fields are set to defaults of "All" and "None" at both the global and user share level (blank in the .cfg file).
  24. I have manually moved it. I created a "Public Data" share on "all disks" that it created a folder on disk 2 for. I manually moved that folder from disk 2 to disk 3 and placed files within it via Windows Explorer. Those files don't show up when I open the "Public Data" share. I have to browse to disk 3/Public Data to see them. This is not how it's supposed to work as I understood it. I'm not getting an aggregate view of my files and unRAID is not manually allowing me to organize or "split" the data. If I try to create a user share only including disk 3 (or excluding disk 2) it simply gives me the "No space left on device" error. Is there something I can do to tell my unRAID "Public Data" share folder to look on disk 3 for the folder instead of disk 2? Can I alter the .cfg file to point it to the correct disk or....? I thought that's what the include/exclude function was for but as I've already noted, that's not working.
  25. Everything's backed up so nothing will get lost (and nothing appears to be lost as of yet anyway) but I'm lost on exactly how I'm supposed to be moving data around if not via Windows Explorer. There doesn't appear to be a file management system within unRAID to move, copy, delete, create data/folders other than to create main aggregated shares on the disks so what am I missing? How do I get data on the disks I want it on and showing up aggregated in the created share folders and move data? WTF am I missing here?
