  1. Maybe I got into the game late but Mythbuntu has been a joy! It is hardly any different than installing Ubuntu. After that, you just set up you Video Sources and link them to your tuners. Perform a channel scan and off you go.
  2. It's funny you say that. I think TVH is 10x more of a pain in the ass then Mythbuntu. If you want help setting it up let me know and I can give you a hand offline. BTW...why would Myth be any harder than TVH to setup in a container? saarg did it with TVH. Why would Myth be that much more challenging? John Oh John, don't tempt me with another project. I'm a sucker for things like that, might take you up on the offer one day I thought Myth has a lot more dependencies, MySQL etc, TVHeadEnd seems a lot easier. Although Mythbuntu makes it a bit easier. Mythbuntu makes it very easy...at least for me since I have done it a half dozen times now. What do you use for tuners? This is what I love...Mythweb. Makes setting up series recordings a breeze.

  4. http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/21888-emby-for-kodi-10-liv/ I have always been an Emby (MediaBrowser) fan but was waiting for the Kodi plugin to mature. It is now officially released and works beautifully! What's better...it works with all standard skins. No more need for modified/hacked skins. I'm going to put this through its paces and see how it goes. If it performs as well it has in the latter part of the betas, I will finally be able to retire my MariaDB container. John
  5. Actually, Myth is the last VM I have running other than my Kodi ones. I would love to say that I am completely Dockerized for everything headless. Just a boy's dream I guess.

  7. Mythweb digs all over the TVH interface for scheduling recordings.
  8. Want to bring this to the spotlight again. Really hoping that someone way smarter than me can take a shot at this. Any takers? I know it is a bear but it would get a LOT of use I am sure. John
  9. v6b15. Haven't made the jump to rc yet. I'm waiting for rc4 and see if some of the issues have been corrected. I started to see these same errors again. So, I stopp CP, deleted the logs, ran the newperms script against the CP config directory and started CP again. I'm not seeign any errors yet but I will watch it. FYI...these errors seem to be similar to the ones I am seeing in you Emby container HH. I posted here: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/9754-docker/page-8#entry214593 John
  10. Working for a large Pharma company as long as I have, I have become accustomed to using GMP format for dates: 29MAY2015. The FDA requires submissions use this format (and it leaves no room for misinterpretation since I am part of a global team). Of course...sorting is thrown out the window.
  11. The last piece of HW that I have in my rack other than my unRAID box is a Dell PE1750 that I run pfSense on for my FW/Router needs. I would love to be able to decom this box and move pfSense to a VM but I have one major obstacle... My wife works from home pretty much 5 days a week. With my current setup,iIf I am at work and unRAID dumps, I can still remote into a Windows machine at home and get to the unRAID box via IPMI. However, if this were to happen when using pfSense as a VM, I would not have a route in from outside. Can anyone think of a solution for this? The only thing I can come up with is some kind of failover mechanism that would direct inbound/outbound traffic to a separate router (I have a box full of Linksys/Cisco routers). I don't know if there is some kind of device the I can put in between the routers (Linksys AND unraid external facing nic) and the cable modem that will do this. John
  12. My bad...my CP container was active but my Sonarr one was stopped. I corrected my post above.
  13. 3 more segfaults today. May 27 13:32:45 unRAID kernel: python[28950]: segfault at 58 ip 000000000052c8d8 sp 00002ae4fab61a60 error 4 in python2.7[400000+2bd000] May 27 14:13:01 unRAID kernel: python[2462]: segfault at 58 ip 000000000052c8d8 sp 00002b5012816220 error 4 in python2.7[400000+2bd000] May 27 14:48:12 unRAID kernel: python[7489]: segfault at 58 ip 000000000052c8d8 sp 00002abd45e90b60 error 4 in python2.7[400000+2bd000] Does this warrant a defect report? John
  14. Hahah, no worries , you're right, we all have that one in common too and it could be any docker using Python2.7. From your logs, do you know when you upgraded to RC3, to see if it started happening after that only? I am still on b15.
  15. Honestly, the more I play with TVH (for about the umpteenth time), it just makes me realized how much more of a polished product MythTV (Mythbuntu) is. MythWeb is particularly awesome. I think I'll just stick with using that in a VM until some brave soul finds a way to make it run in a docker container. John
  16. I saw a similar error in my syslog today and also assumed it was docker related. I'll see if I can find the entry. EDIT: Found it... 17. I'm doing all of this on a WIN8 desktop. And yes...I have a SD paid subscription. Good news I was able to grab data for tvguide.com. It just finished. Now I just need to map each one in TVH.
  18. JM, That is exactly the one I am using (latest version) but it is failing for me. John
  19. That is actually the process you have to follow per WPG+ instructions. That will generate a channels.xml that you can then copy/paste into the wgp config xml. See below...
  20. OK...didn't make it very far. I DL'd the latest site ini pack and followed the instructions in the info.txt file for the scheduledirect.org.ini. I am not able to generate my channel list. I know that this is not an unraid/container issue but is anyone currently using SD with WGP+ and able to pull their channels? I have also posted on the WGP+ forum. EDIT: In the meantime, I have moved to using the tvguide.com ini. Only issue is that tvguide is missing a few key channels for me. I e-mailed them to see if they can be added. Waiting for a response... John
  21. v6b15. Haven't made the jump to rc yet. I'm waiting for rc4 and see if some of the issues have been corrected.
  22. If you use webgrab+plus it doesn't matter if tvheadend supports schedules direct or not as webgrab+plus does all the grabbing and tvheadend imports the guide.xml that webgrab+plus creates. Schedules direct is not available in tvheadend as the grabber has to be configured. Thanks saarg. I'll move forward with config'ing WG+. I paid for SD for a year so was just trying to get my $$$ out of it. John
  23. I am also a SchedulesDirect subscriber. I don't think support for this has been implemented in the container yet, correct? Just wanted to ask before I start messing with WG+ again. I have done it a few time already in the past and know the pain. John
  24. EDIT: Hold one...I stopped/started the container and don't see the error yet. I'll report back if it reappears. Hey HH. Seeing this error over and over in the logs for CouchPotato.
