LOL, that would certainly be a PEBCAK! But, I did, I hit enter and waited. Nothing happens. Its like its off busily doing something. I let it run 10 or 15 min, then hit return just so see what happened. Line feed. Ctrl-C terminated it.

Just tried to install the Nerdpack, but got "no space on device" error... But there's 29GB free! I used this link for the plugin - https://raw.githubusercontent.com/eschultz/unraid6-nerdpack/master/NerdPack.plg This is the freespace on my flash drive...(assuming the plugin is trying to install there?). So this is an interesting update. I've stopped moving files and was expecting the cache drive used space to decrease. Instead I'm saw the opposite even after file transfer stopped. Its now getting smaller. So I assume that the cache used space is only updated periodically and not real-time. Is this correct?

Very helpful. When I saw the tail, I realized I could just click on the Log from the WebGUi and watch progress. Exactly what I wanted to see. that said, I'm not seeing the used space decreasing as mover progresses. http://my.jetscreenshot.com/12412/20150627-84p5-40kb.jpg Shouldn't that decrease and freespace increase as mover operates - or will it only free up the space when complete? Why I ask this is I was curious how cache works for continuous operations. Say I'm moving more files that fits on the SSD. If i start the copy (to get the Fast SSD file transfer) to cache, then immediately start mover, would it be able to 'stay ahead' of freespace. Essentially using the cache in both operations simultaneously. It probably would impact performance, but was curious if it would work that way...

Other than looking at the cache drive in Main, is there a utility or command that can display the status of the Mover when its operating?

Trying to diagnose some hardware issues - starting with NO internet (aka no webgui). So I need a couple tools/techniques. 1. Is there a command that can display the progress of a parity check? 2. Is there a script that copies the syslog to the boot folder whenever it changes? Found this command LOTS of information. Which info out of this command would be appropriate to understand the progress of a parity check? mdResync? mdState? sbSync? something else? If I do this: /root/mdcmd status | egrep "mdResync|mdState|sbSync" I get this: Is there anything that would give a percent complete? mdResync/mdResyncPos? Any way I could put that in division in a script and format it? Or is there a better, already done script I could download?

From an 'I just experienced this' perspective. A simple addition of a couple sentences in the lime-technology/registrationkeys page expanding How to Buy and adding a few sentences in each "buy now" section would solve the problem. As you've gathered from my experience, the current process is confusing for a noob. Plus, no one reads anymore - they scan (says the guy who writes long posts!). Yes it is simple once you understand it, its just not presented in a clear way, and even though I read it, I was confused by the purchase process. And trust me, I design this stuff ALL THE TIME. Its challenging to put yourself in the place of someone who doesn't have any of the reference points you have. The confusion starts in the How To Buy section. It is confusing because it says to do two different things. 1) go to your webgui to purchase, then 2) below is a place I can order it right now. Why would I go to the webgui when I'm right here and I can purchase below. So I skip past #1 (even though that's probably the easiest one) in favor of the perceived quicker solution - then I'm asked for this Flash GUID thing..."what/where is that"? Forgetting about the How to Buy (and the fact that Flash GUID has not yet been explained). IMHO I'd recommend the following simple cosmetic changes to clarify the process... How to Buy Then for each edition, I'd make the following changes Do this for each edition of unRAID. Just add the italicized comments in each purchase area. Done and easy fix. Then the instructions on how to get the Flash GUID in each edition would be clean and easy. Clear, step based, (did I say easy?). Bits on a page are cheap. All that said, to be honest, having the 'purchase' process start in the Webgui, and loading the Flash GUID 'for me' in an order form is brilliant. Go there, click 'buy now' and it takes me to a page where I can order the edition I want. Very easy (if I know to go there). But that's not as easy of a fix as just adding a few sentences. And I can imagine some circumstances where people 'just want to buy' - as I did...

Yes, this would have helped if I could have found it during my purchase process. All I'm saying is if that information was put on the order form, then instructions are near the usage and my experience would have been improved and certainly less frustrating. I'm certainly a noob, and perhaps I'm just a dummy, but I looked all over the forums and the order process and couldn't find this information. Its easy, if you know the secret...but then that's always the case.

Just for the sake of the next NOOB trying to figure this out. The EASIEST way to get the GUID for your flash drive (so you can buy the license key), is to go to the webgui for the flash drive. //yourservername/Main/Flash?name=flash (capitalization is important). Or you can just log into your server, scroll down to the Boot Device and click on Flash. The GUID is on the next page, cut and paste into the order form and you're home free... Note to ADMINs: I'd like to recommend that you put instructions to this effect in your order form. I spent 20 minutes try to find the GUID. Noob issue yes. Annoying, also yes.

I recently ran 6 disks at once with no problems. What is the potential problem running more? Memory issue?
