  1. Because I don't have a redundant cache pool, my configuration is not 100% protected until the parity is calculated (which I run late at night). Systems like ZFS (and other RAIDS) calculate and write the parity as the data is entering the RAID system so are technically protected once that transaction is accepted.
  2. What makes it different that so many others is the way it does RAID. Real time raid systems are overly complicated (especially to change a failed disk) and often have a steep performance penalty or hardware requirement. For what I do, (movies, TV shows, backups) I just don't need instant RAID protection. I can way until overnight for my raid parity protection to be generated. I'm not a bank or a hospital!
  3. Can someone help me with how to change my admin user and password? I've had my docker running fine for a few months but now I cannot login as an administrator. I've looked at the /etc/motioneye but am not seeing a user/password in any of the files in that directory. Thanks
  4. I love this app/docker. I've been so fustrated with Handbrake and how it doesn't pass through all the subtitles in the file so I tried this. I've tried 2 plugins (FFMPEG H265) but both are not passing through the CC subtitles as I thought they would. According to MediaInfo, the files has 1 Text Stream of UTF-8 which I think is the Closed Captioning which I want. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks, ce
  5. What sold me was the way the raid parity protection worked. It means: 1. There is no raid performance penalty. (ZFS and software RAID have major disadvantages including complexity) 2. You can mix and match different size disks. -Clayton
  6. Hello All, I have this MotionEye working and sending email alerts. I'm trying to make the notifications run using pushover and running a command. I have pushover working but cannot see how to attach a photo or movie file of the captured motion. Has anyone solved this or done this before? Thanks
  7. Hello All, Quick question that I cannot seem to figure out. In the GUI, I've imported a custom preset called 'YIFY" and I want to pass this as an argument to the Docker. In the logs i see that it cannot find my preset. I tried 'Automatic Video Convertor preset to 'My Presets/General/YIFY' and tried 'Custom/General/YIFY' but see the same error Preset Not Found. Any body know how to use a 'custom preset' like this? Thanks.
  8. Is there 'how to' anywhere on how to use this? For the life of me, I cannot see how to add sources in the web interface.. Obviously I'm missing something. Thanks, Clayton
  9. Hello All, I'm moving from binHex's Plex to Linuxserver.io so I can take advantage of my nvidia card. I do have it working but not without some annoying behavior that I'm sure is my fault somehow so I thought I would ask. 4 or 5 times now I have entered something wrong in the Docker Configuration page... I see the error when saving and then the docker is not visible in my 'Dockers page' anymore. I have to re-add it from the APPS. When I re-add it, none of the Ports, Variables, etc... are shown in the UI anymore. However, if I 're-add from the APPS and just start it, it will run like those items are still there. Is it possible to overcome this and have it show my configuration without having to re-enter it? Thanks
  10. Hi All, I love this docker! The best. I'm new to docker so if I ask a dump question, forgive me... My question, I'm learning how to include any subtitles that are in the original source and in doing so, I would like to 're-process' a recording that I copy into the /input folder. Is there somewhere I can tell this docker to do that? I've tried deleting all the hidden files in the /output folder but that doesn's seem to do it.... Thanks, ce
  11. I think I have solved this so don't no help required. I had a dead docker that I need to re-install and then a full power down seems to have resolved these issues.
  12. Hello All, I'm not sure how to figure out whats going on with this one... but 2 symptoms I'm having... 1. Docker startup not completeing in the UI. A message on top saying ... Please wait... starting up containers 2. The dockers seem to restart but their time running is not correct. It seems that it 's not rebooting clean. 3. I forced a reboot and started with the UI and it is still have issues being managed, Any help would be appreciated. tower-diagnostics-20210201-0716.zip
  13. My 2 VM's are now not showing in the UI at all. They are on the disk. Darkgeej 'found a way' but didn't share...
  14. I just re-read what I wrote above and did not word it very well... I mucked it up when I tried to delete a docker image and the install it. I was getting an error saying it was already there and it was not showing in the GUI.... Hope that helps.
  15. Hello All, I'm have an issue getting unraid to start. It seemed to start when I tried to refresh a docker. It now won't let me start any dockers. My shares and VM's are ok but all my dockers won't start. Here is a paste from my log... I was have network issues as well and suspect my nic teaming has contriubuted to this so I have disabled it. My UNRAID is 192.168.0.241. Any help would be appreciated. 16. Hello All, My cached Drive (1 TB Samsutower-diagnostics-20210108-0804.zipng SSD) has seemingly failed. Not showing in the UI. I thought I would ask for some help before I get a new one. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Thanks, Clayton
  17. For us beginners, it would help to describe how exactly you 'nuke' a docker image. I'm trying to stop a docker that won't stop and still don't know how. Do you mean I just putty in and remove them?
  18. I looked at that at least 3 or 4 times and went right past it... Thanks
  19. Can someone explain how to do a 'force update'? I'm having the same issue that my OpenVPN won't connect with Port Forwarding.... Thanks
  20. I think I stumbled on to a fix.... One of the shows we watch was Atypical. So there was a ghost folder showing up called 'Atypical'. I ended up creating a new share on Unraid and called it Atypical. I could now open that folder (it would not before). I then in the UnRaid UI, deleted that share. This resulted in all 30+ phantom shares to disappear! On both the shield and on Windows.
