[Support] Linuxserver.io - Plex Media Server
from 1080p x264 (15Mbit) to plex 8mbit (I guess h264) it starts at 240p for me as well, but after 2 sec, it's ok. but every 10-20 seconds, when there is proper movement, it goes back to youtube 240p levels of macroblocking. i'm gonna try it out on windows with nvidia gpu, whether or not it's the same. is it possible, that I have old drivers for the gpu or something? I'm on latest unraid (no beta) I'm on 4370T ( HD 4600) EDIT: Ok, IT's seems like it's a linux thing. (https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/290243/hardware-transcoding-linux-artefacts#latest) The drivers are not very good on linux for intel it seems. Maybe they'll update it. There is a 2.0 pre release (few days ago). Hopefully it will be better, and plex will include it in the docker. (right now 1.8.1 is in the container, and it overrides the OS version (as per my basic understanding after a few hours of digging around).

it happpens around once a month. what should I look for, when it happens again (for troubleshooting)? basic system log is enough?

so HW transcode is OK, but when the encoder runs out of 'bandwith', everything goes to shit? only solution is brute force (with more bitrate?), but for remote media streaming it's not viable, cos the only reason for the transcode, is to save bandwith. I can't believe how people find this usable... the picture above is not even the worst I've seen in the past 5 minutes. and when there is a scene change... No B-frames or anything? whatever, I'm getting off topic again, HUGE tanks for the linux help!

It works for me in priviliged mode only, but the video quality is HORRIBLE, I mean at 8mbit 1080p transcode from bluray remux source, it usually good, but without much macro blocking BUT, every 5 second the quality changes to youtube 360p, or lower.... for a few seconds, than it back to passable (still little lower then CPU 8Mbit, but okish) than back to youtube 240p... https://www.dropbox.com/s/qqio89866qs5vf0/8mbit.png?dl=0 can this be a driver issue? I wouldn't recommend this feature to anybody like this... I've read about GPU transcode being slightly inferior to CPU transcode, and i'm bit of a video quality nerd, but this is beyond usable imho. btw, any downsides to running the docker priviliged? anyone managed to get hw transcode to work without priviliged mode? thanks

Dynamix - V6 Plugins
well, that's not ideal so back to my original question. is it possble to stop the cache_dir plugin and start it again via ssh? than i can do a daily script. anyone? thanks

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Plex Media Server
looks like hardware transcoding is now part of the main release (plexpass), no need to use old beta PMS to enable the feature. anyone got it working on unraid (docker)?

so any other plug-in for the functionality? Do most people don't use cache_dir? i like to keep my disks spun down, i VERY rarely use most of them. cheers

Dynamix - V6 Plugins
anyone else has issues with cache_dir? sometimes (once a month) it gets stuck, and I have 25% cpu usage, until i stop the plug-in? any idea? thanks

I'm on the latest version, wich is 6 3 5. Nut sure what rc9f is, is it a beta? I'm not running that. I used the libreelec version. full disclosure: I didn't actually got the channels, cos I didn't yet run the DVB-C cable to the server, and the small (5cm) DVB-T tuner didn't get any channels, which isn't a suprise, but my tuner shows up in plex/tvheadend, and in the DVB plugin, so I think it will be fine.

Hauppauge Tuner Win TV dual-HD USB Stick DVB-C/T2/T Receiver It's listed on the plex website, as supported, even under linux.

I managed to pass through the DVB with your plugin on the first try, thanks. my other questions regarding hw transcoding. well, now i'm further in the woods... but it's still a few months-years until it's mainline. I'll wait with that command until than. I won't waste your time until than cheers

wow, user.scripts plug-in seems very easy to use. even i can manage it. regarding my other question: yeah, my bad, I wasn't very clear. by code i mean the starting command line, which starts the docker container i can see the line, when i configured it from the GUI, after I start it, and it downloads the image. I want to customize it. Is it possible from the gui? probably not. for example If I want to enable hardware transcoding in docker (when it will be part of the mainline release, I need to add '--device /dev/dri:/dev/dri \' should i just use extra parameters for that as well, or I add it as extra variable(device)? (I didn't even know these 2 features are in the GUI until today, maybe both will work for the GPU passthrough? THANKS!

Huge thanks, as ever, you have been very helpful. my other 2 questions still: is it possible to edit the 'code' in the GUI somewhere, or is it only possible via ssh by typing it out again, and creating a different docker? is it possible to configure plex docker for periodic restart via extra parameters? (something similiar in the above mentioned plex forum thread)

Hi guys, how can I add custom lines to the command line which starts the docker image? I only used the gui, I'm not really an advanced linux user. Is there a place on the GUI, where I can edit the 'raw' launcher code for the docker? I'd like to add a new line for me to enable USB DVB-C Tuner. It should work with docker, right? https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/275487/getting-plex-pass-docker-and-live-tv-working-sharing-usb-devices ps: what can the restart line do? Can it be set to restart this image periodically by itself? Thanks!

[Plugin] CA Application Auto Update
Hi guys, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is it possible to manually set automatic restart time for certain dockers? For example the official plex docker (used by a lot of people) doesn't support this auto-update function. the docker is always updated to the latest version when it is _manually_ restarted. is it possible to set a fixed time, for the X docker be restarted every day or every week, or when the other app is updated? maybe this extra fucntion could be added to the plug-in? it would be useful for a lot of users

It's a database error. I had this issue, when i changed plex containers, and the servers had different IDs, and maybe i started over, with the same library and server name, so it confused plexpy kinda. On github there is a solution for this, the author made a link, which 'clean' your database. just search for a similiar issue desc. and look over the comments. I hope it helps

i'd like to change the file : PMS/Profiles/Chromecast.xml it's not in the mounted app data folder. is this inside the docker stuff? can i edit it, or i'd need a new fork for this? thanks

[DEPRECATED] Linuxserver.io - Rutorrent
docker exec -it $linuxserver/rutorrent /bin/bash i get EOF i have no idea what is that and midnight commander doesn't seems like a windows gui app thanks anyway, it seems like this rutorrent stuff is not for me

thank you, I'll try. Let's see how far i can make it with this

[DEPRECATED] Linuxserver.io - Rutorrent
hi guys, how would i install this plug-in for this docker? is it even compatible with this docker setup? https://github.com/autodl-community/autodl-rutorrent/wiki i can't even 'enter the docker' in putty, so i'm lost how should i install it. i try to create a plug-in folder over network share, but insufficent privilages thanks!

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Jackett
anyone else has high cpu usage? I use a low powered 2 core 4 thread skylake chip, and after a few days, it maxes out one core. I don't really know how the Stats plugin work, but on the web interface in unraid, it says 1% system, 19% user for the cpu usage part. and it is constant on the daily chart. ('Last Day') using ssh and the top command it shows me that 'mono' has high cpu usage. If i stop the jackett docker, it goes back to 1% right away. Any ideas? settings or something perhaps? I use it for nCore site mostly (local hungarian site, probably no other unraid/jackett user uses it ) thanks

if you use those script for TV shows, give sonarr a try. sonarr can notify you via pusbullet, and can trigger a plex library update as well. but of course you need to get your torrents through sonarr. back to topic: has this happened before, i'm a docker deluge user for only a few months, i've been using utorrent for 10 years before that. is this one of a kind happening, or it is just 'shit happens'? so everybody who had problems, it all started after the latest deluge and unraid update? are there people for whom it still works fine? I think it would be better, if we could get to the bottom of this
-
[Support] Linuxserver.io - Deluge
i started from scratch. managed to save the plugins and it's settings, but all my torrents are gone, i have to re-set the seeds, only around 60, but still. from this day, i will never update deluge or unraid ever again:D

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Deluge
I guess than i'm the only one, who can't use the docker with the latest unraid version great...

Updated to lates docker and lates unraid. Now when the dockers starts, the webui says that localhost daemon is not running i start it, it rehashes every file (200gig), and starts seedeing on the trackers i can see that it seeds, but my desktop client can't connect to deluge? any idea? it worked before flawlessly. ohh, and with the webui, my settings are gone. download location etc all blank. i set the port and allowed remote connection, still no luck
