  1. They put out new versions fast. Would you mind building it for 6.3.2 Per the plugin -- Open-VM-Tools is not available for Kernel 4.9.10 Please update the plugin.
  2. I'm wanting to follow this as well. I am starting to think that unRaid on ESXI would be the best solution for me, so want to see if you get it up and working. I want a Server 2016 VM for AD usage on unRaid. If I put it all on ESXI, then I can make sure that server 2016 is up before UnRaid.
  3. I would avoid the QS and ES versions, and find a seller that offers 30 days of returns. But you can save a ton if you ebay.
  4. So I am trying to get dual monitors to work on a VM running on UnRaid over VNC. I have never messed much with KVM as a VM, so a bit green on this. Looking at the XML I see the section <graphics type='vnc' port='5900' autoport='yes' websocket='5700' listen='0.0.0.0' keymap='en-us'> <listen type='address' address='0.0.0.0'/> </graphics> <video> <model type='qxl' ram='65536' vram='65536' vgamem='16384' heads='1'/> <alias name='video0'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x01' function='0x0'/> </video> Reading around the web, it seems that I should be able to change heads=2 to get a dual monitor. If I do that, and start the VM, and go to display settings, it still only shows 1 monitor available. Can someone lend a hand on this? Seems like it should be possible. Maybe add another video tag? Or another alias name? Might have to add another VNC port?
  5. Does anyone know how to get dual VNC displays running on a CentOS VM? I can VNC in just fine, but get only the one screen.
  6. I know this post is old. Resurrecting a dead thread. But this thread has me rethinking the whole server I am currently building. Question I have: Speed of the Expanders is directly related to the number of drives actually hooked up currently and running, and not just ports correct? So if I had all 20 ports connected to empty SATA slots, but only 8 SATA drives hooked up, I would achieve maximum throughput for 8 drives if the drives supported it?
