Unable to spindown for longer than 2mins after moving disks to LSI 9600-24i
That's what I thought too! I checked a few values of the controller when I flashed it. I noticed that in the JBOD list of drives, all drives were listed as “GOOD”. Maybe the problem here is that the controller simply queries the smart values too often via firmware. but why do 4 of my 5 unassigned drives remain in spindown?

Unable to spindown for longer than 2mins after moving disks to LSI 9600-24i
No success... despite the new setting, the disks started up again approx. 4-5 minutes later after spindown 🤥

Unable to spindown for longer than 2mins after moving disks to LSI 9600-24i
OMG thank you so much! i hope this helps... just implemented... I'll report today whether it has done any good PS: If this is the solution... Is it possible to increase the value? because querying all 24h SMART values is too often for me because some of my drives are in spindown for weeks...

Unable to spindown for longer than 2mins after moving disks to LSI 9600-24i
Hi, over the last days i swapped out my old LSI SAS 9305-16i HBA and connected all my disks to the LSI SAS 9600-24i eHBA card. previously some were on the m/b sata controller and some were on the 16i. All my disks are SATA. All array disks do not remain in the spindown Some but not all unassigned disks remain in the spindown. I have flashed the latest firmware (9600_24i_Pkg_8.10.1.0-00000-00001) via storcli2 in uefi mode. Old version was v8.1.1.0... The Personality of the Tri-Mode Controller is set to eHBA and the drives are all configured as JBOD System Drivers mpi3mr MPI3 Storage Controller Device Driver Inuse scsi/mpi3mr mpt3sas LSI MPT Fusion SAS 3.0 Device Driver System scsi/mpt3sas I have flashed the latest UEFI firmware of my Motherboard (MSI Prestige X570 Creation - 7C36-002R) I Upgraded my Unraid from 6.12.6 to 6.12.13 Everything is running great except that the drives perform the spin down audibly but are woken up again after about 2 minutes. In the syslog you can see after the spin down that smart values are queried, but as far as I know this also seems to be the case with normal/scheduled wakeups. I am very grateful for any help and would hate to remove the controller again. Thank you very much!

[Plugin] NUT v2 - Network UPS Tools
Hello, I have recently switched my UPS to netserver operation. But since then the syslog is spammed full. (login notes see picture). The client utility is WinNUT... Is there a way to suppress this or write to another logfile?

Graphics card idle power usage in unraid server
Perfect, "nvidia-smi -pm 1" also helped my Quadro to get higher pstates. My card is only used in connection with docker containers. So I wrote a script for the "User Script" plugin which in my case is only executed once after starting the server. See appendix: Have fun saving energy! nvidia-smi_persistence_mode.zip
