  1. This is SO not intuitive. I'm sure someone somewhere needed a way to lock the sort order, but holy smokes. It just took me 15 minutes (had to wade through a bunch of reddit useless results) and Google to find this thread and figure it out. I'd suggest that be more prominent or somehow be made more intuitive.
  2. Just a quick note to say thank you for this! I've been having nothing but trouble with Nextcloud's file sharing function (all I used Nextcloud for) and your instructions above allowed me to set up Tonido in just a few minutes and stop beating my head on the brick wall that is Nextcloud. Perfect!!
  3. G'morning, I've started seeing an error in Tautulli. Basically, the Watch Statistics won't load on the home page (through Activity and Library Statistics work fine) in Firefox. It loads in Chrome but adds the below error to the log every few seconds. I've removed and re-added the container. I've searched through the configuration for anything new. I just don't know what the issue is. Any help appreciated! 2020-11-01 06:54:03 - ERROR :: CP Server Thread-10 : WebUI :: /home : NS_ERROR_FILE_CORRUPTED: . 4. I've been struggling with UD for weeks; it all started about when we had to remove shares and re-add them due to an update. About that time I added my two unRAID systems to my domain. This morning, I noticed that yet again, all of my UD shares were unmounted on both systems and they refused to remount. I've had this happen before and removing the share and adding it again fixed it. Today, it refused to add them using their "name" even though "search for servers" brought them up successfully, I added credentials and load shares brought up the share names. it all *appeared* to work until I tried to mount the shares. I eventually was able to add them via IP address instead of server name. Here are some examples: Connecting 2nd unRAID to one of my Windows Server 2019 boxes: (I removed Preclear in the middle of this thinking it was causing trouble) Feb 22 09:24:48 Econoline2 unassigned.devices: Mount SMB share '//MAVERICK/DataStore' using SMB2 protocol. 5. I apologize for adding to a very long thread already, but I've got a few questions about PreClear and if my observations and assumptions are correct. I bought a pile of used ST9600205SS (600gb SAS) drives to stuff into my second unRaid box (n signature) - mainly built as a place for me to try things out, experiment & learn. I've been putting them through the preclear plugin and have had troubles. I had gotten through 14 of them and had 6 failures. Like this: preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: Pre-Read: dd if=/dev/sde of=/dev/null bs=2097152 skip=0 count=600127266816 conv=notrunc iflag=nocache,count_bytes,skip_bytes Nov 23 12:30:40 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: sd 1:0:3:0: [sde] tag#0 UNKNOWN(0x2003) Result: hostbyte=0x00 driverbyte=0x08 Nov 23 12:30:40 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: sd 1:0:3:0: [sde] tag#0 Sense Key : 0x3 [current] Nov 23 12:30:40 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: sd 1:0:3:0: [sde] tag#0 ASC=0x11 ASCQ=0x0 Nov 23 12:30:40 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: sd 1:0:3:0: [sde] tag#0 CDB: opcode=0x28 28 00 44 f3 72 00 00 01 00 00 Nov 23 12:30:40 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: print_req_error: critical medium error, dev sde, sector 1156805224 Nov 23 12:30:40 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: sd 1:0:3:0: [sde] tag#0 UNKNOWN(0x2003) Result: hostbyte=0x00 driverbyte=0x08 Nov 23 12:30:40 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: sd 1:0:3:0: [sde] tag#0 Sense Key : 0x3 [current] Nov 23 12:30:40 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: sd 1:0:3:0: [sde] tag#0 ASC=0x11 ASCQ=0x0 Nov 23 12:30:41 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: sd 1:0:3:0: [sde] tag#0 CDB: opcode=0x28 28 00 44 f3 72 68 00 00 08 00 Nov 23 12:30:41 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: print_req_error: critical medium error, dev sde, sector 1156805224 Nov 23 12:30:41 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: Buffer I/O error on dev sde, logical block 144600653, async page read Nov 23 12:30:41 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: sd 1:0:3:0: [sde] tag#0 UNKNOWN(0x2003) Result: hostbyte=0x00 driverbyte=0x08 Nov 23 12:30:41 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: sd 1:0:3:0: [sde] tag#0 Sense Key : 0x3 [current] Nov 23 12:30:41 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: sd 1:0:3:0: [sde] tag#0 ASC=0x11 ASCQ=0x0 Nov 23 12:30:41 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: sd 1:0:3:0: [sde] tag#0 CDB: opcode=0x28 28 00 44 f3 72 68 00 00 08 00 Nov 23 12:30:41 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: print_req_error: critical medium error, dev sde, sector 1156805224 Nov 23 12:30:41 preclear_disk_6XR15H0Z0000B152HZF7_17906: syslog: Buffer I/O error on dev sde, logical block 144600653, async page read Nov 23 12:30:41 That seemed like an abnormally high failure rate to me, so I stopped and took a look at what I was doing. I had been hot-swapping the drives and kicking off the preclear with a queue allowing two simultaneous preclears. I have seen Unassigned Devices get confused about what actual physical drive it was referencing before and the log for the preclear above was actually refering to a drive that wasn't even in the system at the time. (by serial #) I *think* this is what was happening to preclear. Lesson learned. Hot-Swap BAD. I pulled the drives and did a power cycle of the machine. Waited for unRaid to fully boot, inserted the drives. Kicked off preclear with the same parameters, with 2 simultaneous preclears. This cleared up the above problem, but now preclear itself was giving me fits - it got stuck in a "zeroing" loop after the first successful preclear and moving down the queue. Meaning it'd zero a drive, pause and another drive would zero, then it'd go back to the first drive and zero it again. And again. So, now I'm rebooting between preclear sessions and have a max simultaneous preclear queue of 1. This appears to have resolved the issues. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I feel fairly confident this hardware should be able to do more than one preclear at a time, but it works now... (this is with PreClear 2019.11.22 - basically a new system with fresh plugins and apps installed)
  6. Is there any way to have more than one library available in this application? (e.g. Mystery & Horror) Or do I have to install multiple containers with one library each?
  7. I'm sorry in advance for being a newb and not being able to figure this out by myself... Nothing I do in the config for this container will allow me to get past the Apache Guacamole log-in screen. I've tried setting the user/pass to the default listed in the container, I've tried setting it to something else, I've tried the default credentials for Guacamole. I tried completely removing the container and doing the rm command found on the previous page of this thread. I just don't get it. Here's the command execution: root@localhost:# /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/scripts/docker run -d --name='calibre' --net='bridge' --log-opt max-size='50m' --log-opt max-file='1' -e TZ="America/Los_Angeles" -e HOST_OS="Unraid" -e 'GUAC_USER'='abc' -e 'GUAC_PASS'='abc' -e 'PUID'='99' -e 'PGID'='100' -p '8086:8080/tcp' -p '8087:8081/tcp' -v '/mnt/user/Media/Library/':'/books':'rw' -v '/mnt/user/Media/Library/Import/':'/import':'rw' -v '/mnt/cache/appdata/calibre':'/config':'rw' 'linuxserver/calibre' c4dadfdf351fc6ec50aabcb3d013a0e38835209664c7eecb8e57f488101d1c5b The command finished successfully! (I'm working on moving from the RDP-Calibre container to this one, just can't figure this bit out) Edit: It occurred to me that I hadn't tried it with no credentials, so I did that and it skipped the Guacamole login screen and went right to Calibre. I don't understand, but it worked. Edit2: I think I know what I did wrong. I see (now) in the screenshot above it's asking for an md5 hash for the password and I was putting in the password itself. Whatever, it's working now and I'm not touching it again
  8. FWIW, I went a different direction. Bought an R720xd. Working on getting it up and running now, and it'll become my primary unRAID box once everything is stable. With 12 3.5 bays and 2 2.5 bays, I sincerely hope I won't be short of storage options any time soon. If the day comes I need an external DAS, at least the 720 has PCIe 3.0 Now I'm torn on what to do with the R710. Pure Windows Hyper-V box, ESXi, backup target for unRAID? Decisions, decisions...
  9. Disregard the part about 12Gbps, I just realized I'd need an MD1400 minimum for that and they're WAY too expensive. I'd still like to know if the 9300-8e based cards will work in the R710 and would successfully connect an MD1200.
  10. I suspect I'm probably duplicating questions here, but digging through all of the R710 threads is a bit... daunting. So, I apologize ahead of time if I missed the answer to my question. I'm not a new unRaid user but I am new at trying to figure out all this DAS/HBA/etc stuff. I currently have a R710 LFF with the H200 connecting the 6 built in drives. I'm using the R710's sata controller for the optical drive and a 240GB SSD that I'm using as cache for the moment. (see signature) I'm looking to expand and I'm contemplating buying an MD1200 and migrating all of my array drives into it and turning the drive bays in the R710 into a cache pool/whatever. The question comes to: what HBA card should I be looking at? I have some SAS3 drives now, so I'd like a 12Gbps card. I *think* I should get an LSI 9300-8e based card to hook up the MD1200, but I know they are PCIe 3.0 cards and the R710 only has 2.0 slots. As far as I can tell it should work, but all articles I can find regarding backwards compatibility on PCIe are about graphics cards. If it will work, are there any specific 9300-8e cards I should be looking for? If it won't, what's my best option? Asking any of these questions through Dell is an exercise in frustration because all they hear is "unsupported configuration" and the zombie-apocalypse will descend upon me. Thank you in advance for patience and advice!
  11. I did (4 days ago), their response said "Unfortunately, at the moment, we don’t support Push access for files that require transcoding." I replied saying that was a key feature I'm looking for and if they intended to support it in the future and haven't received a response yet. I must admit that I like their implementation, but not being able to play my music outside of my network is a deal breaker for me. I could, I suppose, keep a separate library of all my music pre-transcoded to .mp3 but I really don't want to deal with that or take up that much space on my server. When/if they get that sorted out, I'll subscribe - their price is certainly reasonable!
  12. If, like me, you plan on using their "push" service to access your media outside of your local network (and not have to set up a VPN, etc) be aware that they do not support transcoding via push. I haven't been able to determine if they intend to support it in the future, only that they do not now. This issue led me down a bad path where I thought there was something else wrong because I could play music fine at home but not at work. (the vast majority of my audio files are .flac, which requires transcoding to play on Alexa)
  13. I see a handful of Dockers for Dell's OpenManage server administrator on DockerHub, but I've never been able to get one to work. I've searched high and low for a CA version that may be easier to configure, but have had no luck. If any of you Dell users who aren't as completely new as I am were to tackle this, I'd be very appreciative!
