  1. Thanks Kevin/aptalca. I changed the transcode directory in the Plex gui and saw activity on my transcode share mapped to the cache drive.
  2. Hey, everyone. I have a transcode question. I am using LinuxServer's plex docker and I am wondering how to set up my docker so it uses my cache drive for transcoding. I had loads of trouble with the official Plex docker, and decided to use the Linuxserver docker instead. The Official Plex docker had a place where you could put the transcoding path in - but not the Linuxserver one. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers, Brian PS: I have heard that all the Plex dockers may be abandon in favor of the official Plex docker. The only issue I have is support - it looks like there are loads of unanswered question on the Plex forums - and it takes a long time for them to get answered. Would be a shame to see the Plex docker support disappear from the Limetech forums. I'm just saying ...
  3. I have an installation of Plex that seems to be giving me headaches. I had the system share (where the docker.img was) set to use the Cache drive. I think that may have got me into loads of trouble. Are there some shares that should not use a single cache drive? (system or appdata)? Still trying to learn all the dark corners of Unraid .... Brian
  4. Thanks, Binhex. I will consider this closed as it doesn't seem to interfere withthe operation of SAB.
  5. I have seen this error in SABNzbd - doesn't seem to be stopping SAB from downloading: ------------------------------------- [09/Jul/2017:15:47:31] ENGINE Error in HTTPServer.tick Traceback (most recent call last): File "/opt/sabnzbd/cherrypy/wsgiserver/__init__.py", line 2024, in start self.tick() File "/opt/sabnzbd/cherrypy/wsgiserver/__init__.py", line 2091, in tick s, ssl_env = self.ssl_adapter.wrap(s) File "/opt/sabnzbd/cherrypy/wsgiserver/ssl_builtin.py", line 67, in wrap server_side=True) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/ssl.py", line 363, in wrap_socket _context=self) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/ssl.py", line 611, in __init__ self.do_handshake() File "/usr/lib/python2.7/ssl.py", line 840, in do_handshake self._sslobj.do_handshake() error: [Errno 0] Error -------------------------------------------- I see the SSL references in the error, I presume it is the same cert errors discudded in previous posts? Brian
  6. Squid: Ok, figured this out. It was a permissions issue of some sort. I looked at the logs and saw some 'cant create file' errors, 'error opening' errors. Just for giggles, I ran the 'docker safe new permisions' tool on Unraid, and that solved the issue. Go figure ...... Brian PS: Thanks for the help, BTW. Where is your 'buy me a beer' link?
  7. Yes, did that. I used a slightly different path to ensure that I was creating a fresh install: /mnt/cache/appdata/PlexMediaServer1/transcode/ /mnt/cache/appdata/PlexMediaServer1/data/ /mnt/cache/appdata/PlexMediaServer1 for config I think that you had mentioned removing the docker.img and re-installing all the dockers. I did not want to go that far unless I had to, as it is a lot of work.
  8. I have been running the official Plex docker for some time now (the plex pass version) without any issues. I moved some files around on my unraid server and in the process, all my dockers disappeared. I reloaded them into the same file locations, and all seemed well, except Plex. It started giving me a 'required codec not found or failed to install' error on the Plex web gui. This only seems to happen when mkv file containers are trying to play. MP4 containers will play fine. This was all working fine up until the last few days. I am running 1.7.5.4035, downloaded from the plexinc/pms-docker:plexpass repository. Has anyone come across this issue before? I have removed plex and re-installed (using the CA tool for cleaning up docker installs), but that doesn't seem to help. Brian
  9. Squid: I presume re-adding them and using the same directories should pick up the old configs that are present? Brian
  10. I noticed something interesting - the docker.img file in /mnt/user/system/docker is shown as orange (same color as the invalid parity icon on the main status page). Not sure what this means. If anything ... Brian
  11. I had an old drive that was small and was going to fail, so I figured I would remove it from the array. In this way, the new drive would be able to be formatted XFS. I followed the Shrink Array wiki entry here: https://wiki.lime-technology.com/Shrink_array. When I was done removing the drive, I noticed that I only had one docker remaining - Plex. It is using the single cache drive which is not part of the array being rebuilt. I am running Unraid 6.3.5. I moved all of the files on the disk successfully using unBALANCE. I saw a number of folders left on the suspect disc, but the main unraid page file browse view said 5 folders, no files. I am pretty sure there were no docker related files on the drive I removed - most of them used my Cache drive. I am in the middle of a parity rebuild (I wonder if this has something to do with Dockers not showing up) Any ideas where I can start looking for my dockers? Pain in the butt if I have to recreate them.
  12. Thanks - I figured this was the way to go. Thanks for the confirmation. Brian
  13. I am going to use unbalance to move some files around and make room for a new disk in my array. Would it be easiest to shut down ransomware protection, then recreate bait files as if it is a new install?
  14. Trurl - thanks for the reminder. Duh - did not have notifications set up at all. I will play with a ransomware file and, when triggered, I should see a notification. Thx, Brian PS: Squid - thanks for the Canada rant!
