  1. RDP- remote desktop, resolved my issues of 0% GPU utilization, hardware acceleration of programs & the screen going out/BLACK on Splashtop/Parsec/VNC. This article drove me to use RDP instead of the alternatives. I currently have igpu 02.01 passed through solo. It has been stable for days. Thank you all again for your help @ich777& @zhtengw & everyone else on this thread!
  2. Hey what’s up! You rock btw thanks for all your help you provide in these forums! I did enable that option and it didn’t work; i don’t think Unraid turned on, so that was not an option. Same with CSM. The solution was actually plugging in a Dummy plug into the mobo hdmi port 🤯 as mentioned here then the option actually defaulted to that in the bios and saved like I was hoping. Thanks man I hope you have a good day! I guess other mobos you can just turn it on and it works; but ya like you said maybe an Asus thing, but luckily this trick worked!
  3. Your experience speaks volumes. The Dummy plug did it the trick, even after hours of research I couldn't figure out why I couldn't enable primary display to iGPU; Thank you so much for helping getting it enabled and working, truly. And thank you very much for the plugin @zhtengw I really hope to figure out these other issues. The problem I am experiencing now is two-part - It takes some tinkering to get the VM up to where I can utilize it - but when I can get it working in one of these two ways, I have these issues: 1. I was able to passthrough Intel igpu to previous VM, solo: - enable a virtual display with "usbmmidd_vv2" & remote in with Splashtop Desktop; but the screen goes black when I do anything extensive (i.e. change from 1090x1080 to 2560x1440 or add a second display). - example 1 tower-diagnostics-20231002-1315.zip 2. When I passthrough: GPU 1 - 'Virtual' & GPU 2 - 'Intel'; - I can see the iGPU in the VM but it is not active. The driver seems to be up-to-date. - example 2 tower-diagnostics-20231002-1439.zip - This issue here would be ideal to fix first. I am not sure if I should bind the VF's at boot, or what is the proper way to get it working. I am getting these errors in the VM logs. char device redirected to /dev/pts/0 (label charserial0) qxl_send_events: spice-server bug: guest stopped, ignoring 2023-10-02T18:08:11.528775Z qemu-system-x86_64: VFIO_MAP_DMA failed: Invalid argument 2023-10-02T18:08:11.528813Z qemu-system-x86_64: vfio_dma_map(0x148f5d750400, 0x382000000000, 0x20000000, 0x148f32200000) = -2 (No such file or directory) If there's anything i can do that might be helpful please let me know. Much appreciated. Update: After keeping it running in the background a couple days it runs okay and I am able to remote in with no issues. BUT when I turned off another VM & booted another, the Splashtop display went black & and I cannot access it in parsec. So issue #1 above is a server/plugin related issue possibly and seems to be unrelated to the VM itself being underpowered or overdriven... (tower-diagnostics-20231004-0028.zip) . TY
  4. Hello, I am trying to turn “Primary Display” to ‘CPU Graphics’, instead of ‘Auto’. The bios setting keeps reverting back to “Auto” immediately after saving & rebooting. Goal is so I can enable SR-IOV and pass-through iGPU to a vm headless and have another vm using the external Gpu. It seems the Asus ROG STRIX Z690-E Gaming may have a quirk as said here in his first bullet point. Is that Reddit solution possibly the only way to go about resolving this? Is this mobo being more difficult than it should be? ps here is the manual Thank you for any input.
  5. My bro; for starters, thank you so much. But I show 'No Intel graphics found" error. I followed these steps, I do have SR IOV enabled in bios, 12th gen i9-1200k. I removed plugin, removed from previous apps, shutdown Unraid for 2min, I followed these steps, and repeated process several times to no avail. Hoping you can help me out; you don't know how appreciative we all are for you! tower-diagnostics-20230925-0316.zip 2023-09-25 02-11-28.mkv
  6. - So according to this, the latest version SR-IOV works with is possibly 6.12.2 BUT might also have a docker issue. - 6.11.5 works BUT you still have to modify to a custom kernel apparently, which I would like to avoid. So my best options are possibly to update to 6.12.0 - 6.12.2; but Unraid doesn't give me the option to pick, only installs the latest OS version (6.12.4 which doesnt currently work with SR-IOV)) through the GUI. Can someone please: 1) Let me know which version or route might be the best. 2) Link me to how to upgrade to a specific OS version please. I see the Manual Installation Method with the download versions link, but it doesn't explain how to do this on an existing Unraid server.
  7. 1) "abc" didn't work obviously, but nor did my Admin usernames. It didn't recognize them for some reason. docker exec -it nextcloud updater.phar ^ Running this instead worked. 2) I used these tags: 24.012-ls238 25.0.4-ls229 3) After upgrading to 26.0 a. Stop docker. Remove the tag & the docker automatically starts. Open the "logs" b. Notice version 26.0... Then it says "Updating to 27.0." c. Working, accessible GUI now. Nextcloud link for update versions & command: https://info.linuxserver.io/issues/2023-06-25-nextcloud/ (Thank you for your guide!)
  8. Do you have NVidia high def audio? Maybe if i remake the VM take it off and re-add it?
  9. Theres not. Only the one shown in that last pic & these shown here
  10. Thank you for clarifying for me. It looks like it is in MSI mode already according to that document : "Devices with negative number for IRQ (like "(PCI) 0xFFFFFFFA (-6) ...") are in Message Signaled-based Interrupts-mode.; the NVIDIA 3080 has a (-26). Is there anything else I can check possibly? Thanks for your help, again.
  11. I'm sorry. Could you explain how to do that? I opened cmd in the Win10 VM & rand the lspci -v -s command and it says "lspci is not recognized as an internal external command, operable program or batch file
  12. Running that command: MSI is Enabled it looks like. Hey now that I think about it; sometimes when there is High Utilization from the VM the wireless mouse that is passthrough has major lag. The mouse and keyboard on the passthrough USB do not lag; but the SoundBlaster DAC that is connected to the same USB pcie card is choppy with game audio. This Soundblaster DAC never used to be choppy, but worked fine; now after adding a couple other wireless headsets with dongles, and even after removing them as playback devices, the Soundblaster DAC with hardline headset had choppy game audio.
  13. I commented in the Unraid Discord> General chat, today under "dntmatter". Feel free to add your input there & monitor the feedback. I cited your post as well.
  14. I have this same issue. I will be surprised if anyone replies to this thread I have two posts about sound issues that have been up for a while with no comments or votes. I would also post this in Reddit. If you did, comment back with the link.
