Windows Sleep Wake Issue/Failure
Something that might help with troubleshootings: after putting to sleep & attempting to 'Resume', Windows just spinning trying to wake, but unable to -> i 'Force Stop' the VM -> then i Start the VM again, but the screen does not come on, even after multiple attempts. I modify the VM GPU to: - VF (created by sr-iov plugin) = i am able to see the virtual monitor via Splashtop and also - Virtual & add 2nd GPU as the NVDA card = no virtual monitor. I had to reboot the server in order to boot the VM with the NVDA gpu properly again.

Windows Sleep Wake Issue/Failure
so as far as you have see, this is not a common problem at all? maybe i will have to make a new vm. i would hate to reinstall everything again, but it seems like i might have to - as i have already recreated a new vm with this vdisk and it doesn’t seem to be resolved… sounds like i maybe on the right track? any advice? thank you Jorge.

Windows Sleep Wake Issue/Failure
It seems that my VMs still aren’t Sleep/Waking properly. Do you have any other ideas of what it might be? Do you know if others have similar issues - i searched around and can’t find other threads to help.

[PLUGIN] Intel iGPU SR-IOV - Support Page
So if I somehow do not see the igpu in task manager, do you also believe the only way to recover it properly is to recreate the VM as I have mentioned there in image 2? I have tried a bunch of other stuff, including following your steps, but I cannot download the iGPU drivers, since the iGPU is not even being recognized. The only way it was recognized is when i recreated it again. Thank you very much for your awesome response earlier. that was helpful and helped clarify for the process for setting up VM!

[PLUGIN] Intel iGPU SR-IOV - Support Page
Whenever you have this issue -the VM does not see, or does not recognize the hardware in Task Manger (image 1) and you cannot hardware accelerate- the method that worked for me was recreating the VM (not cloning it)(image 2-if you need help doing this). I recreated the vm with this workaround: i pass through Virtual for graphics card, then pass through the VF in 2nd graphics card (see image 3) [I had some minor issues of it freezing up after a few minutes in Splashtop, or RDP from weak laptop - it doesn’t freeze when RDP from VM with 3080gpu passed through though.]. I seen @alturismo use Parsec but it’s hard to find info on how it works and the right way to use it and set it up - i install the parsec display drivers i can access from another computer via parsec remote? can i access via phone somehow? i’m on iphone i don’t see in store. i use Splashtop, but the vf isn’t passed though properly without also passing through virtual graphics first. i’m hoping someone can guide US ALL here on how to do this properly step by step. I’d be really grateful.

Windows Sleep Wake Issue/Failure

Windows Sleep Wake Issue/Failure
When i clicked the Windows button, there was no actual "Sleep" option, just Lock, Shut down, Restart; thus, i have no idea if the Sleep/Wake cycle works w/out passed through devices. I checked the Power Settings to see if i can enable advanced option to sleep or anything, but i found nothing. Pausing the VM through the Unraid GUI does not suffice since/when i pause the VM w/ passed through devices, it freezes functionality, but doesnt actually turn the screens off - so its not a proper sleep. I look forward to your further help. Thank you very much for everything as always! PS: I do not have the NVDA community apps installed. And here is my System Devices.

Windows Sleep Wake Issue/Failure
Ya its the same VM. The Diagnostics and Windows VM Log (attached) are what i get after i try to wake it up. Interesting because i get these errors even when the VM is running. Like now, I have 2 Win VMs running (1=NVDA GPU passthrough & 1= iGPU Intel Passthrough SR-IOV Giganode) , and i am looking at the logs, and it shows these in both Windows VMs NVDA GPU: 2025-10-07T13:12:17.034310Z qemu-system-x86_64: VFIO_MAP_DMA failed: Invalid argument 2025-10-07T13:12:17.034317Z qemu-system-x86_64: vfio_container_dma_map(0x5632f2c69c70, 0x383010000000, 0x2000000, 0x146a86000000) = -22 (Invalid argument)Intel IGPU: 2025-10-07T13:25:41.651875Z qemu-system-x86_64: VFIO_MAP_DMA failed: Invalid argument 2025-10-07T13:25:41.651893Z qemu-system-x86_64: vfio_container_dma_map(0x55b8309c7240, 0x382800000000, 0x20000000, 0x14bf00000000) = -22 (Invalid argument)

Before proceeding, I am wondering if someone might be able to spot something and help me out here. Thank you for any & all help. tower-diagnostics-20250925-1526.zip Windows VM log.txt

Plex - drive full crashed container - help restore backup please
I have a SMART error on Disk 3. Not sure if that might cause something like this to occur? I cant really tell what the issue is, but it seems it is saying" Old..." Maybe I should replace if deleting Plex & rebuilding doesn't work? Thank you all again. To Do: - Mem test - SMART test - Remove docker. i suspect mem test would be easiest. Then removing and readding docker next, then smart test? tower-smart-20240906-2157.zip

Plex - drive full crashed container - help restore backup please
@MMagTechThanks the reply. I don't see the crash report unfortunately. -------------- - I seen my Dockers all showed Version as "Not Available". I thought maybe the Docker image was full, so i turned it off, turned the Image up 2x the GB what it was before, and Plex still doesn't work. - Considering removing the Plex docker, (If anyone could lead me in the right direction on the best way to do this, I would appreciate. ); *backing up, deleting the file in appdata, then readding the docker. Not sure the proper way to do this. Unfort my appdata wasnt backing up since 2022. I think the CA Appdata backup plugin was decommissioned. "/

Plex - drive full crashed container - help restore backup please
@Gragorg Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it didn't work - this and variations of this, including deleting all files, I get the same message. It seems something else is choking it at the start. I might have to do a parity scan & some other stuff. Do you have any other ideas?

Plex - drive full crashed container - help restore backup please
Something crashed Plex & I am now getting this on my log Stopping Plex Media Server. Starting Plex Media Server. libc++abi: terminating with uncaught exception of type soci::soci_error: sqlite3_statement_backend: : prepare: file is not a database for SQL: PRAGM A cache_size=512 ****** PLEX MEDIA SERVER CRASHED, CRASH REPORT WRITTEN: /config/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Crash Reports/1.41.0.8930-056c2ed26/ PLEX MEDIA SERVER/786ac025-625e-43f9-665949a7-01a26e8e.dmp Stopping Plex Media Server. Two things I noticed: 1. one of my external drives was full that maybe a movie was downloaded & trying to move the completed file to the full disk. 2. I changed the download location of a show in Sonarr (the crash seemed to occur before this tho). I followed How to fix a Corrupt Plex Database by SpaceInvaderOne. I also deleted all the files & restored the main two files in the "Database" folder, & renamed them; Nothing changed, I got the same error in the logs. ----------- Hoping to get some guidance before trying to restore; even then, I might need help. I have a recent libvert.img backup and an old appdata backup that is a CA_backup.tar file. tower-diagnostics-20240903-2247.zip

unRAID plugin for iGPU SR-IOV support
RDP- remote desktop, resolved my issues of 0% GPU utilization, hardware acceleration of programs & the screen going out/BLACK on Splashtop/Parsec/VNC. This article drove me to use RDP instead of the alternatives. I currently have igpu 02.01 passed through solo. It has been stable for days. Thank you all again for your help @ich777& @zhtengw & everyone else on this thread!

External GPU turns off iGPU Z690
Hey what’s up! You rock btw thanks for all your help you provide in these forums! I did enable that option and it didn’t work; i don’t think Unraid turned on, so that was not an option. Same with CSM. The solution was actually plugging in a Dummy plug into the mobo hdmi port 🤯 as mentioned here then the option actually defaulted to that in the bios and saved like I was hoping. Thanks man I hope you have a good day! I guess other mobos you can just turn it on and it works; but ya like you said maybe an Asus thing, but luckily this trick worked!

unRAID plugin for iGPU SR-IOV support
Your experience speaks volumes. The Dummy plug did it the trick, even after hours of research I couldn't figure out why I couldn't enable primary display to iGPU; Thank you so much for helping getting it enabled and working, truly. And thank you very much for the plugin @zhtengw I really hope to figure out these other issues. The problem I am experiencing now is two-part - It takes some tinkering to get the VM up to where I can utilize it - but when I can get it working in one of these two ways, I have these issues: 1. I was able to passthrough Intel igpu to previous VM, solo: - enable a virtual display with "usbmmidd_vv2" & remote in with Splashtop Desktop; but the screen goes black when I do anything extensive (i.e. change from 1090x1080 to 2560x1440 or add a second display). - example 1 tower-diagnostics-20231002-1315.zip 2. When I passthrough: GPU 1 - 'Virtual' & GPU 2 - 'Intel'; - I can see the iGPU in the VM but it is not active. The driver seems to be up-to-date. - example 2 tower-diagnostics-20231002-1439.zip - This issue here would be ideal to fix first. I am not sure if I should bind the VF's at boot, or what is the proper way to get it working. I am getting these errors in the VM logs. char device redirected to /dev/pts/0 (label charserial0) qxl_send_events: spice-server bug: guest stopped, ignoring 2023-10-02T18:08:11.528775Z qemu-system-x86_64: VFIO_MAP_DMA failed: Invalid argument 2023-10-02T18:08:11.528813Z qemu-system-x86_64: vfio_dma_map(0x148f5d750400, 0x382000000000, 0x20000000, 0x148f32200000) = -2 (No such file or directory) If there's anything i can do that might be helpful please let me know. Much appreciated. Update: After keeping it running in the background a couple days it runs okay and I am able to remote in with no issues. BUT when I turned off another VM & booted another, the Splashtop display went black & and I cannot access it in parsec. So issue #1 above is a server/plugin related issue possibly and seems to be unrelated to the VM itself being underpowered or overdriven... (tower-diagnostics-20231004-0028.zip) . TY

External GPU turns off iGPU Z690
Hello, I am trying to turn “Primary Display” to ‘CPU Graphics’, instead of ‘Auto’. The bios setting keeps reverting back to “Auto” immediately after saving & rebooting. Goal is so I can enable SR-IOV and pass-through iGPU to a vm headless and have another vm using the external Gpu. It seems the Asus ROG STRIX Z690-E Gaming may have a quirk as said here in his first bullet point. Is that Reddit solution possibly the only way to go about resolving this? Is this mobo being more difficult than it should be? ps here is the manual Thank you for any input.

unRAID plugin for iGPU SR-IOV support
My bro; for starters, thank you so much. But I show 'No Intel graphics found" error. I followed these steps, I do have SR IOV enabled in bios, 12th gen i9-1200k. I removed plugin, removed from previous apps, shutdown Unraid for 2min, I followed these steps, and repeated process several times to no avail. Hoping you can help me out; you don't know how appreciative we all are for you! tower-diagnostics-20230925-0316.zip 2023-09-25 02-11-28.mkv

unRAID plugin for iGPU SR-IOV support
- So according to this, the latest version SR-IOV works with is possibly 6.12.2 BUT might also have a docker issue. - 6.11.5 works BUT you still have to modify to a custom kernel apparently, which I would like to avoid. So my best options are possibly to update to 6.12.0 - 6.12.2; but Unraid doesn't give me the option to pick, only installs the latest OS version (6.12.4 which doesnt currently work with SR-IOV)) through the GUI. Can someone please: 1) Let me know which version or route might be the best. 2) Link me to how to upgrade to a specific OS version please. I see the Manual Installation Method with the download versions link, but it doesn't explain how to do this on an existing Unraid server.

NextCloud update and is now broken
1) "abc" didn't work obviously, but nor did my Admin usernames. It didn't recognize them for some reason. docker exec -it nextcloud updater.phar ^ Running this instead worked. 2) I used these tags: 24.012-ls238 25.0.4-ls229 3) After upgrading to 26.0 a. Stop docker. Remove the tag & the docker automatically starts. Open the "logs" b. Notice version 26.0... Then it says "Updating to 27.0." c. Working, accessible GUI now. Nextcloud link for update versions & command: https://info.linuxserver.io/issues/2023-06-25-nextcloud/ (Thank you for your guide!)
