  1. Thanks dude. The issue occurs with 2 different dell X520 revision cards and the 10gtek version, I’ve changed from LR SMF cable and SFP modules to SR MMF cable and modules and still the problem persisted. I spoke too soon, despite hours with no fault it then had a spurt and suddenly hit 950 drops in the space of a hour or two. so, went through my box of networking equipment and found an genuine intel SR MMF module, so have switched that in to see if there is any change, I’m running out of ideas otherwise.
  2. Yeah, it's very strange. My network consists of those 2 switches, Untangle as the router, UniFi 16 port POE, UniFi 8 port POE (60W) * 3, UniFi 8 port POE (150W). Everything works seamlessly, the only machine having issues is the unraid one. I'm using 10GTek SFP+ modules on the Unraid connection (as per everywhere else) and they're working fine everywhere, it's just this one machine that is giving me grief, and of course it has to be the machine that gets a lot of traffic (4K streaming via Emby for the household). Still, it's fixed now with autoneg off, no great loss as I only want them connected at 10Gb anyway. This thread might be of use to somebody else at some point!
  3. This particular one is a Mikrotik CRS305-1G-4S+, I auto auto neg enabled on other ports going to other devices without issue, it just doesn't like the X520 for some reason. There's also a link between a CRS305-1G-4S+ and a CRS309-1G-8S+ which works flawlessly with auto negotiation on the link.
  4. Didn't fix it, but I figured out what the issue was. On the switch port I disabled auto negotiation and since then not a single drop, stable as it should be!
  5. Ok added ok, thank you! works a treat, just installed it and going at 52MiB/s woo!
  6. Any chance of adding Axel? It’s a command line downloader like whet, but supports multithreaded downloads?
  7. Thanks, I've just had a 10Gtek one delivered and it's showing the same vid, did, svid, sdid as yours, will try installing it in a bit.
  8. Ahh cool, thank you very much! It shows as a similar name to mine, but I suspect yours has a bigger flash part on it and most likely has newer firmware. The question I probably should have asked at the start, do you happen to know/remember what brand & model the card is?
  9. Thanks, I have a DA1 coming in addition to a newer DA2. can you post the output (snipped to show just the DA1 card) from this command lspci -vmn (the card you will be looking forward will have the vid/did of 8086:10fb - you can run lspci -vm first to show the human readable version, but that doesn’t display the numeric values for the sub vid/did which is what I’m interested in knowing!)
  10. Hi, Is anybody running a X520-DA2 with success? I have had to disconnect mine and revert to on board ethernet as I'm having trouble with flapping. I've switched SFP modules and cables and it still happens, another device plugged into the same switch does not exhibit this issue. My card appears to be one of the older ones with the sub device of 7a11 and I'm wondering if this is the issue, it has the latest firmware on it that is available for that particular model. (16.5.20) I have a card arriving tomorrow which is a newer one to try. My log file is full of port is up and port is down messages, continually refreshing the dashboard you can see the device go from connected to disconnected.
  11. i have this as well, i had a conversation with the developer and we reset it so that it showed the, as up to sate, but it must returned a short while after. I just ignore it now.
  12. Cheers, that fixed it. I installed the other two which said update available and that cleared the status on those! Awesome work!
  13. It's probably a plugin that installs a different version. I think preclear uses utempter. Humn, I did have preclear disk installed but I don't use it, so I just removed it. It's now not listing it in the nerdpack package list, but it's still showing as update available and checking for updates does nothing.
  14. I've got some packages showing as "update ready" but when I click check for updates everything is up to date, how do I reset the status of these stuck packages?
  15. The online auto backup of your config sounds like a winner, be interesting to see what you plan to charge. i bought a pro license upgrade from basic to support you guys, I’m no where near the limit for the mid tier yet, but think the software is great and has been working fantastic for me for the past 3 months since I switched from a synology NAS to unraid purely because I was about to hit an expansion point on the synology. are there things that could be done easier in the GUI? Yes, I think there’s work for passing from pci devices that would greatly simplify things for users and I can’t for the life of me get VNC to work in the recommended mode. overall very happy customer.
  16. Somebody else who labels the drives, except I use the serial number, that way in unraid I can be absolutely sure I pull the right drive in the vent of a failure,
  17. Awesome, mosh is back working on the latest rc now for me. if I renable the option to hide incompatible apps will mosh remain installed?
  18. Is there any way for force an install? It’s easy enough to fix once installed, but now it’s dissappeared from my system after an upgrade and now I obviously can’t install it.
  19. Just a quickie, will this be updated for the 6.7.0 versions? I installed the RC and it breaks mosh as it links to updated libraries, I created links to the libraries as mosh expected and it runs fine. just a heads up for anybody using this.
  20. I'm a new user to Unraid (I'm an embedded software engineer by trade), I replaced my Synology NAS with an Unraid server as I'd filled all the drive bays and it seemed a better option to build a PC with adequate space for disks, I'm already familiar with docker and stuff. Didn't take me very long to not only get set up and running, but to fall in love with Unraid, I love the fact it's JBOD with parity, if I happen to lose a disk and parity then I just lose what's on that disk, no biggie, as opposed to the synology where I'd lose everything. I fitted a blu ray 4k friendly drive in my machine as well, I've successfully used the MakeMKV container to rip both blurays and 4k blurays. Very happy with my decision to go to Unraid. I'm having some issues with Linux VM's at the moment, but I have a workaround, my Windows 10 VM works like a trooper.
  21. Hi, I've posted this elsewhere on the forum and had no response, this looks like a better place to post it. I cannot get the QXL driver to work, I've tried both Ubuntu and Linux and neither will boot fully when QXL is selected, it looks like when X windows starts it no longer works and all I get is a black screen (the OS has fully loaded). If I try installing Ubuntu with QXL, I get a weird thing with the screen, I get the loading dots screen permanantly on the screen and when I move the mouse over the screen I get slivers of the current installation page for a split second before it reverts back to the loading dots. I have to use the cirrus driver to get Linux working. I'm using 6.6.7 of unraid and it's a new installation, I've been running unraid now for a couple of weeks and this is the only problem I'm facing. I've quite happily installed Windows 10 using the QXL driver and it's working, I didn't expect Linux to be the one giving me the grief. Any help? I've also posted this in a facebook group and I wasn't the only person experiencing this problem.
  22. Yes, but as above it shows an error when I login as root to the plugin.
  23. Trying to get the plugin working, when I login I get the following message: Unable to connect to serverx (1001) - Unable to get unRAID state (dockers): Get https://127.0.0.1/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerContainers.php: dial tcp 127.0.0.1:443: connect: connection refused No users are shown, no dockers etc. The IOS app refuses to show any logs and just tells me I need to install the plugin. What am I missing here?
